I'm still running. Why am I still running? Why am I running at all? I'm almost to my bike when I hear a sound. It's not a sound that hurts my ears, it's a beautiful sound....like a bell. I turn my head in the direction it's coming from: the forest. And, without really thinking, I change directions and head towards the forest. Running at full speed. I look at the trees blurring  past me. Wow. How am I running so fast? My feet are barely touching the ground.

That's when I crash into something that sends me flying to the ground with a boom. I lay on the pine needles, my back and feet sore. I wait a minute before sitting up to look at what I hit. And, finally, I realize it's not what I hit but what hit me...or who.

"What the...?" I mumble.

"You know, I had my doubts about you ,Celeste..." A voice I recognize as Colton's says.

"Wh--what are you even talking about?" I ask, rolling my shoulders to stretch my back.

"The night you got lost in the woods, you didn't just pass out did you?" He asks stepping out of the shade of the trees.

"N--how do you know?!" I say back.

Ignoring my questions completely, he asks "What did you see Celeste?"

Should I tell him? But he'll think I'm crazy... But if I don't tell him, who else will I tell? Not my parents, they'll for sure think I'm crazy...Not my friends, they probably won't believe me.

"Eyes." I say simply.

He nods, frowning. "Anything else?"

I look away.

"Celeste! Anything else?!" He demands.

I look back at him and look at him sharply which makes him take two steps back. "An animal." I tell him.

I start to hear the sound again as well as dogs barking, people talking, babies crying, birds singing, music playing. It's all making my head spin.

I cover my ears with my hands again and start crying. A second later, Colton's there, sitting next to me and putting his hands over mine....as if trying to help me not hear anything.

After about five minutes, he takes his hands away and so do I. If I don't concentrate, I can't hear the sounds...so that's good, I guess.

"What's wrong with me?" I wonder out loud.

"You're changing" He says.

"Why?" I ask.

"The question isn't why, it's by who and for what reason..." He says practically to himself.

I'm so confused. What is happening? Is it because of that animal? That animal.

"What was that animal?" I ask him.

"A wolf..." He answers. "Do you know what color the eyes were?"

"Uhm...Blue and red." I shiver.

"Come on, we have to get out of here." he says, grabbing my hand and pulling me through the forest.
