Niall- You tossed and turned for hours that night. Not knowing why you couldn't sleep, You looked at your window. Niall was probably asleep. That was one thing he loved doing, after eating of course. Though one thing- or person you did hope he loved too was yourself. Your feelings for Niall never changed over the years, really, they only grew. You knew he'd never like you back. Prettier girls were always flirting with him and trying to hook up with him. He was popular, and you were not, so how could it even happen? The only reason you two were friends was because you were neighbors. TAP. You looked back at your window. TAP TAP. Was that... Niall...? TAPTAPTAPTAPTAP. "For christ's sake," you whispered getting out of bed and opening the window right across from Niall's. His beautiful blue eyes lit up the whole night, making you feel alive. "Hey, did I wake you?" He whispered worried "sorry if I did" you shake your head no." I couldn't sleep," you whisper trying not to wake your parents who were sleeping down the hall. "Me too," he says fumbling with his fingers as you pull over a chair. You sat down and just let the noise of the night go. You two just sat there for a bit, looking up at each other every once in awhile. "Truth or Dare?" Niall looked up at you smirking. You smirked back. Truth or Dare was always a game you guys played at night when you couldn't sleep. Sometimes secrets spilled while playing, but that never stopped your friendship from being awkward. "Truth." You said turning the smirk into a smile. "Okay, hmm. What's something you've never told anyone before?" You blushed in embarrassment,"...I have a fear of Elevators..." He giggled. "Niall! Shut up! There's a reason I never told anyone that!" You whisper yelled at him. "Okay, okay! Sorry!" He apologized throwing his hands up in surrender. "Okay, so truth or dare?" "Uh truth." "Wimp." You teased. "Whatever." He rolled his eyes. You thought about what you wanted him to confess to you, then it came to you. You've always wanted to know how he felt about you, so why not something about that? "Um, what's something you've always wanted to tell me...?" You felt very unsure about this question, but if you never asked it, you'd regret it. He thought for a moment. "Those pjs on you look horrible!" He laughed. "Ugh!" You looked down at your pjs, they weren't exactly your top favorite, but atleast it was something. "No seriously, Niall, c'mon." You waited anxiously. He sighed and thought for a moment or two
Again, then opened his mouth. "I've always l-" "(y/n)?" Your parents called. You scrambled out of your chair, almost falling out, and quickly but quietly put it back. You shut your window giving a slanted smile to Niall than ran to bed, under the covers. You closed your eyes just when your dad opened the door. You felt him scan your room, looking closely at you, then closed the door. You rolled over onto your back and looked up at the ceiling. You wanted to go back and continue your conversation with Niall, but it was time to go to sleep. Not the least but tired, you tried sleeping; but the only thing keeping you awake was the thought of what Niall was going to say.
Liam- You couldn't sleep and it was 4 in the morning. You were supposed to give a speech tomorrow as the new class Valedictorian, but at this rate, you didn't know how you were. You heard a tap on your window. It's just the wind, you thought. Another tap, then another, then another. You finally got up and checked it out. And there he was, Liam Payne, standing in your yard, waiting for you. You opened your window and felt the crispy October air touch your skin. Liam gave you a signal to come out, was he crazy? He knew about your speech tomorrow, you told him about it. Before opening your mouth and lecturing him, he put his pointer finger to his lips letting you know to be quiet. He came closer to your window and held his arms out. In all honesty, this wasn't the first time you two snuck out; you just weren't used to jumping out of windows...yet. You put your feet out the window, now sitting on the edge. You took a deep breath. "1...2...3!" You jumped out the window and into Liam's arms. You weren't dating, but you've liked him since grade school. He looked down at you and smiled, "You alright?" He asked. You smiled at him because his smile lit up the night. You nodded your head. He laughed then put you down on the ground. "Let's go for a walk, huh?" He asked putting his hands into his pockets. You followed him out of your yard and onto the sidewalk in front of your house. You looked all around, seeing the homes black as the night sky inside. You eyes turned to the street then to Liam, who was already staring at you. He stepped into the street and took your hand. You both started running, screaming, yelling, laughing, and acting like the idiots you were. But you didn't care, the feeling of letting it all go felt nice, it was a good time, that's what it was.
