LIAM: (delusions/paranoia)
"[Y/N]... [Y/N], listen to me," I tilted her chin up. "Nobody's following us." "Yes he is! He was following us! He's going to hurt me Liam! If he finds me he'll kill me!" She screamed. "He won't hurt you. I'll keep you safe, baby. I won't let anybody lay a finger on you." She sighed. "You don't understand..." "What don't I understand, doll?" "If you try to protect me he'll hurt you, then he'll get me." "Oh." I breathed. It hurt me to see [Y/N] like this. She was so upset, she was positive there was someone out to get her. No words of mine could soothe her fears. She chewed nervously on her fingernails. "Okay, what can I do?" I asked. "We need to hide." She said quickly. "Liam, hide me. I can't know where I am. He can read my mind." I took a deep breath. Sometimes she was fine, other times she was a wreck. "Okay, close your eyes." I said. I wrapped one arm around her back and the other behind her knees before I lifted her off the barstool in our kitchen. I walked with her around the couches in our living room and behind the dining room table. I repeated the loop 2 more times before slowly walking up the stairs. I moved the upper half of her body over my shoulder, and kept one arm behind her knees. I opened the door to the bathroom and walked inside before walking back out and closing the door. I took her into our bedroom and stood in front of the bed, spinning around a few times before I set her down on the floor of our walk-in closet. I turned off the light and sat next to her. "Keep you eyes closed. We're hidden." "He doesn't know I'm in here." [Y/N] whispered. In the dim light I saw a smile on her face. "I can see him. He's looking in the wrong spot." I breathed a sigh of relief. She often had episodes like this with her residual paranoid schizophrenia. Her episodes would sometimes last for days, but I knew this one would be over in a just a few minutes. "Liam, Liam, Liam." She chanted quietly. "Yes baby?" I whispered. "He's almost gone." She was quiet for about another minute. "He's gone." She whispered opening her eyes. "Good." I said. "Let's go." [Y/N] said standing up, pulling me with her. "Where are we going?" I asked. "Lunch. You're driving." We walked downstairs and she handed me my keys. In the car she turned on the radio. She found a station she was happy with and we sang along to the song until the DJ started talking. "Oh my god," She scoffed. "I can't believe they're talking about me." "They're not talking about you, babe." "Yes they are. They're speaking in code about how they're going to abduct me." "I won't let them abduct you." I said patting her leg. "I know you won't." She grinned. I leaned in and kissed her, "I love you." I whispered.NIALL:
(hallucinations) [Y/N] kept tossing and turning, and finally she got out of bed. "Can't sleep?" I asked. "No," She sighed, "I can hear it again." I got out of bed and walked into the bathroom where she stood. "How bad is it?" She shrugged her shoulders, tilting her hand side to side. "So-so." She said. "Do you need one?" I said referring to her pills. She had psychotic paranoid schizophrenia. She shook her head no. "Okay, up." I said patting the counter of the sink. She pushed herself up as I grabbed a clean washcloth from the cabinet underneath the sink. I dampened it and rested in behind her neck. "Sing with me?" I suggested. She nodded her head. "No light, no light in your bright blue eyes..." We sang for a minute before she shook her head. "Louder." She said. I sang a bit louder and took her hands. I swayed between her knees whilst I sang until she yelled, "Stop!" "What now?" I asked. "It smells like... alcohol. Like rubbing alcohol." "Want a candle?" I asked. She nodded her head yes. I lit the wick of the rosemary scented candle. I kept singing. "You want a revelation, you want to get it right. But it's a conversation I just can't have tonight. You want a revelation, some kind of resolution. Tell me what you want me to say." "I can taste something bad. Niall, make it stop! Stop! Please stop!" [Y/N] cried. She gripped the edge of the sink, her knuckles turning white. I grabbed a cough drop from the nightstand and pressed it to her lips. She took it in her mouth and screamed again. "Be quiet! Please stop it! Niall, make it stop! IT'S GETTING LOUDER." Tears flowed down her red face. She kicked her legs against the cabinet under the sink. She rocked forward, "STOP! STOP IT PLEASE! IT'S TOO LOUD! TOO MUCH! STOP GETTING LOUDER! STOP! WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?! I CAN'T HEAR WHAT YOU'RE SAYING! STOP! STOP TALKING TO ME!" Her arms were resting on my shoulders, her fists bunching the material of my shirt. Her head pushed against my chest. I removed the still damp washcloth from her neck and dropped it in the sink. "Niall make them stop." [Y/N] panted. "Please tell them to go away." "Okay, baby girl." I said in her ear. "Hold on just a second." I said and pushed her back on the counter. "No, no." She whimpered. "STOP!!! STOP TALKING! BE QUIET!" She screamed. I rushed and got the syringe, pulling off the cover. I grabbed her arm and jammed the needle into it, gently pressing the back down. I tossed it to the side as her body went limp. I carried her to bed and gently tucked her in. Her jaw fell slack, and I took the sticky cough drop of out her mouth, wiping her lips with a tissue. I threw the cough drop away and washed my hands, blowing out the candle before climbing in bed behind her. She was still awake, but the sedative would put her to sleep shortly. I wrapped my body around hers. I brushed her hair out of her face and kissed her neck, "I love you." I whispered.
