Chapter Song: Color - Hasley
Cookies, that's what fills me up, as I walk through the door. "Mmmmm that smells, yummy." I say as the smell of chocolate goodness fills my nose. I throw my backpack on the floor and take off my muddy boots."Hey sweetie, how was school?" My mommy asks. I walk into the kitchen and give my mom a kiss. "okay," I lie, I didn't want to talk about the kids at school . My mommies dark brown hair up in a bun and when she turns it covers her face so that only a mist shadow of her curled lips show. She drops the cookies but the hot pan doesn't make a sound as it turns silent in a instant..The door bangs after someone enters. Its Him. He walks into the room, clumsy and a strong smell of whisky fills the room, he's drunk. I turn and try to run, but when I do it turns dark, I'm in the room. The mean man is here. "Where's mommy" I scream wanting the world to hear. "You did this" His voice booms through my ears. " Your a monster."
Is the last thing last thing I hear before instantly shooting up, Ugh. My heart pounds against my chest. I grasp onto my heart as I lunge for air.
My cloths and hair stick to me from the drench of sweat.
I hate my nightmares. They're always filled with harrowing memories. Things I just want to forget. But I never want to forget my mom.
I start to calm down and whip my hair out of my face, and stare out the window. Lights of the city still bright as it is still dark out. I turn to look at the clock, 6:17 am. Work doesn't start till 9 but I don't feel like going back to sleep also with the horrible imagery flowing back into my head I cant stay put and stare at the clock, so I decide on what to do.
I pull the covers off of me, my toes cringe under the cold floor. The room lightens once I turn on my side lamp, bright orange light fills half of my room, still a shadow of darkness in the corner melted by lights. the closet doors screech as I roll them open. Well there goes for being quiet'
I change into black tights and a white tee shirt, cooling my body as the white fabric rolls onto my body. I throw the moist cloths onto the floor, and snatch my phone from underneath the covers. Lights from the city only light up my bedroom as I turn of the light and head into the hallway, closing the door behind me.
The floors speaking as I try to tip toe down the hallway. A door is open revealing a black haired beauty on the edge of the bed, she's a reckless sleeper she must of kicked her way into that position. I'm glad she's sleeping, me and her both were up with worries of our jobs for the past week.
I notice that Harry isn't with her, he must of left after I went to bed last night. I shut the door and continue toward the third bed room, the master bedroom. Katie and I decided to use this room as, a anything room. Mostly, its used for her work with her table to draw plans and other architect things. But for me I use it for the space to do what I love, dance. There is a good amount of space that, I can dance. I enter the room and light starts to flow into the room, as the sun starts to rise, notating that its a new day.
Quickly, I take out my headphones and plug them into my phone, the headphones squeeze me my ears. Blocking the sounds of New York traffic to symphonic sounds of " Claire de Lune" consumes me. My body sways and my heart collects paces. The flow of cool air as I turn and spin, cooling and heating my skin. Beats of the music syncing with my legs.
