Ch.2~The Mansion

You were looking around, shining your flashlight at some bushes, when they began to shake. Luigi started trembling and you stared. Then something popped out. Luigi cried in fear and fell. In front of you was a little ghostly dog, with a key in its mouth. It was wagging its tail happily. "Aww.." You smiled a little. "T-that's a Polterpup... Don't trust it..." Luigi got up. The Polterpup barked and swallowed the key. "No!! Dang it!!" You yelled, causing it to run. You chased after it, and Luigi chased after you. Luigi managed to get in front of you by taking a short cut, and he was almost behind the Polterpup. You tried to go faster but you bumped into something, making you fall back. You looked up only to see a strange figure staring down at you. It was a boy, with white hair and white clothes. He seemed to be a ghost. "Tsk..you won't last long. Our King will destroy you." The boy said, then turned into a ghost, soon disappearing. Luigi came back with the key in his hand. "I got it..hey..why are you on the ground..?" He asked. "I saw..a ghost boy...I ran into him..." You said as he helped you up. He seemed to tremble again. "T-that was a Boo... They're the only ones who can turn human...t-that's not good..." You and Luigi walked up to the mansion. "How bad are they?" You asked as he unlocked the door. "Very. They shouldn't be here...." He sighed. You both entered the mansion and looked around. It didn't look too bad for an abandoned place. It was awfully dark though, and cold. Luigi checked a few things out when all the sudden a ghost popped out of nowhere. You jumped and your eyes widened. "You go hide somewhere else, I'll do this!" Luigi said. You ran away down a hallway, and hid in a closet. The Polterpup wasn't scary, but everything else was, it was hostile, the Professor had warned you about it. Plus you didn't have experience. All of the sudden you felt like you were being watched. You pointed your flashlight around. You saw nothing, except for a glimpse of white. You hoped it was your imagination. Then you felt someone tap on your shoulder. You turned around but nothing was there. You heard a giggle that seemed to echo. It didn't sound like a normal, human giggle, not even a creepy little girl giggle. You felt another tap. You spun around, yet nothing was there. You sighed and turned back around, only to see the same boy, or, Boo, as last time. You shrieked and fell backwards, getting stuck in a box. The boy laughed again. It was the same laugh. "You're fun to mess with." He smiled. You tried to get out of the box but something was holding you down. "Ahaha..not used to Ghosts I'm guessing?" He said and snapped his fingers. In front of you was another boy, who seemed a bit younger. He was a Boo as well. He was holding you down, smiling evilly. "I want you to take a good look at us before we tell you ours names. First let me get the others." The older boy turned to a full box and kicked it, causing two more Boos to shoot out. They turned human as well. You looked at them. One had a hat, one looked as if he did sports, the one that had been teasing you seemed to look more mature, and finally, the one holding you down had a wild look in his eye. You could tell he was probably the most immature out of the four. "Now, I'll tell you who we are." The older one said, "I'm Matthew. The leader, next to King Boo." He pointed to himself then to the one holding you down. "That's Chris. He's..uh...how do I say it..." "Annoying, pervy, loud, immature." The sporty looking one said. "Eh..yeah. Anyways, he's Caleb. He does sports as you can tell." Matthew said. You stared. Why were they introducing themselves if they were going to kill you in the end? "Last but not least, Esra." He pointed to the boy with a hat. "Isn't that a girls name..?" You whispered. Esra glared at you and stuck up his middle finger. Chris giggled. You stayed quiet. "We're only introducing ourselves because you may be here for a while. Considering you're fun to mess with, our King might want you to stick around for longer~!" Chris explained. "(Y/n)..? You can come out now.." You heard Luigi. Then Matthew grabbed you by the collar of your shirt and whispered, "Tell him anything about us and we'll hurt you." They all disappeared, after Chris got you out of the box. You opened the door and Luigi said that the professor knew where the Dark Moon piece was. So you followed him wherever you needed to go. You weren't sure if Luigi was going to let you help. Well, I guess you'll have to find out once you get there.
