Michael's POV

(February 14th, 2015)Valentine's Day. The day that seemed to haunt me every year, except this year.
Usually - on this holiday revolving around showing love and affection to your significant other - I'm laid up in bed, surrounded by cheap chocolate that my mother bought for me and video game controllers.
I'd always do that every single year - mope around aimlessly, sulking to myself - because I, once again, was ditched by my best friend so she could go out with her 'boyfriend'.
But not this year. This year, Vivienne was single and not ready to mingle - just like me... sort of. Secretly, (secretly as in everybody knew except Vivienne) I really wished I could hang out with Viv on this holiday as more than just best friends.
'Soon enough' I continuously thought to myself as the number of days before today; Valentine's Day, became smaller and smaller, 'Just stick to your plan and, in time, everything will turn out exactly the way you want.'
Now, thinking back on my encouraging words from a few days before, I decided to just calm down and go with the flow. Which is how Vivienne and I ended up here, sprawled across my living room floor while binge-watching all the seasons of 'American Horror Story' that is currently uploaded on Netflix.
"Okay, I need a break from all this drama!" Vivienne cried out as she dove for the Wii remote that was placed on the coffee table beside her. "I need to calm down from that season finale."
"Season one and season three always get to me," I grumbled along with her, both of us mentally agreeing on a break from this awesome, yet seriously messed up TV show.
"Season one hits me a lot harder than the others do." She puffed out her cheeks as she went to the home screen before turning my Wii completely off.
"Let's go to the bakery down the street. We can eat 'till all of the episodes are washed away from our memories." I chuckled, pulling myself off of the floor in front of the couch - I don't really know why we didn't just sit up there - and held a hand out for Viv to use to pull herself up as well.
"Sounds like a plan." Her eyes gleamed of happiness, food always seems to make her happier than anything else, it's weird, but I'm the same way. That's why we're friends anyway.
"Can you drive this time?" She looked up to me with hopeful, pleading eyes. "The last time I drove, something bad and unspeakable happened, remember?"
"I remember, trust me. But you need to suck it up and drive already." I scoffed at her, grabbing my car keys from the bowl beside the TV and threw them at her, earning a grimacing look to me, from Vivienne.
"I hit a bird and it got stuck on the grill of your car, Michael! I killed an innocent creature and then had to peel it off the car myself because you wouldn't stop laughing long enough to help." She exclaimed, crossing her arms over her chest as she started to pout like a moody child.
"It was hilarious." I raised my hands up in defense, slowly backing my way towards the front door, Vivienne's evil glare following me the whole way there.
"Wait until it happens to you, it won't be so funny then." She rolled her dark eyes as she pushed past me, and out of the door that I had just opened for myself to step through, not her.
