Chapter 27

I wake up in Jcs warm arms. I get up and get dressed. I go to the kitchen and see we have no tea. I decide to go get some some at a nearby '7/11'. I grab my Phone, headphones, keys, money, vlog camera, and penny board. I lock the door on my way and leave.

As I was riding down the street, I put my headphones on And grabbed my vlog camera. I turned it on and recorded myself penny boarding down the street.

I get to '7/11' and walk in, heading towards the back. I stop and look at my phone, noticing the text I got from Jc.

Jc: Where'd you go babe?

Me: Went to '7/11' to get myself and you guys some tea. I'll be back soon.

Jc: ok baby, stay safe... love you.

Me: love you too.

I put my phone back and grab a couple teas from the cooler thing. I walk up to the front. I pay and head out.

As I'm riding down the street with headphones on, I hear a distant honking sound.

I realize soon after, it wasn't at all distant. I feel a painful force throughout my whole body. I feel myself being thrown off the ground for a second before my whole body slams onto the road.

All I hear is a loud ringing. Everything around me is fading into white. Before it all goes white, I see a woman and teenage boy frantically running towards me from the SUV that hit me. I see the woman turn towards the boy, telling him to do something and him running to the car.

Everything goes white.

JCS POV

I wake up alone in bed.

"Babe?" I call. I get no response.

"Maddie?" I call louder. I again get no response. I get up and walk around the house. She's nowhere to be seen.

Worried, I text her.

Me: Where'd you go babe?

Maddie: Went to '7/11' to get myself and you guys some tea. I'll be back soon.

Me: ok baby, stay safe... love you.

Maddie: love you too.

I relax and sit down at my computer to edit me recent video, waiting for her to get home.

After a few minutes of editing, my phone rings. I look and see its Maddie. I answer and hear an unfamiliar voice.

(PHONE CONVO)

Jc: hello?

Idk: *frantic voice* hi is this Jc?

Jc: um yea, who is this.

Idk: My name is Beth. Are you in L.A. right now?

Jc: *worried voice* yes I am, where's Maddie? why do you have her phone? is she ok?

Beth: No, she's not ok. She's been hit by a car. I found her phone and found you on speed dial. You need to get here.

(END OF CALL... Sorta.)

"No, she's not ok." I hear. My heart drops as I reply a thank you and hang up.

With tears running down my face, I scream and run down the stairs. I get stopped by kian, Connor, and Ricky.

"What's wrong Jc?" Connor frantically asks.

"I-I-I m-Maddie g-got hit b-b-by a c-car." I barely make out. All three of the guys face goes pale.

"We're coming, lets go." Ricky says.

"N-No, only one p-person. K-Kian lets go. Sorry guys I'll call you." I reply. They nod as kian and I run to the car. We get in and I drive to where Beth said they were.

When I see the ambulance lights, my heart drops. I feel the hot tears running down my face. I glance over at kian and see him crying.

We pull up and I get out and run to where she is. They were picking her up and putting her in the ambulance. I start sprinting to get to her and I'm stopped by a cop.

"Excuse me sir, you're not allowed in her." They tell me.

"I'm her fiancé! Please let me go to her!" I shout frantically. He automatically lets me through and kian runs back to the car to follow us to the hospital.

I run and get into the back of the ambulance with Maddie. I observe her hurt body. She has bruises everywhere, she has a huge scratch on the side of her face that is from her chin to her temple. Her foot is obviously broken.

With even more tears running down my face, I grab her hand and lightly kiss it.

"It's going to be ok baby. Don't you even worry about it ok? I love you so much." I whisper. I smooth out her hair as they pull into the hospital.

They take her out and run to the emergency room. Me following close behind.
