Chapter Forty

Three months have passed and I was nearing my due date. The baby could come any day now. Jc and I decided we should take it easy.

I was sitting on the couch relaxing, when Ali and kian walk in Kian carrying Becky's carrier thing. He sets it down, taking the baby out. He kisses Becky on the forehead, handing Ali the baby. He gives Ali a short kiss, then runs upstairs, most likely to record with jc.

Ali comes to sit next to me.

"He boo, what's up?" Ali asks me as she sits down.

"Nothing, its pretty boring." I reply. "How are things with you and kian?" I ask. The question seems to bring a smile to her face.

"Give me a second." She says. She puts the baby in the little cradle then sits back down. "Things are great. He told me he wanted to be Becky's father figure." She tells me. I smile, knowing she would be able to trust kian with her life.

"That so great! We're gonna be one big happy family. Becky will call me auntie maddie, and my little baby Ali will call you auntie ali. And Becky will call kian dad, and jc will be uncle jc. And everything will be amazing and happy! It'll be great!" I exclaim.
We decide that we should go for a walk later, to celebrate.

Soon, kian and jc come back downstairs.

"Hey, do you guys want to go for a walk, as a family?" Ali asks them.
They both seem excited about it.

"Hell yea! Lets do it!" Kian and jc both say. We all laugh.

Ali grabs her baby and puts her in the stroller. We all head out, hand in hand, with the people we are Madly in love with.

We begin to walk down the street. Jc has his arm wrapped around my waist. He's very careful with me, and the baby. We are walking behind kian, Ali, and Becky.

We walk to a public park and jc and I sit down. Kian and Ali take Becky to push on a swing. I watch all the toddlers and children running around, falling, laughing, playing. I know this is what I want more than anything.

"This is so beautiful, don't you think?" Jc says.

"What is?" I question.

"Everything. We're sitting here, about to be parents, in a park full of little kids. A little broken family walked into our home, and we watched kian pick up the broken pieces and glue them back together. Youre going to be a mom, and I'm going to be a dad. This is all so soon too. It's an amazing thing duuude." He finishes his rant off with the jc voice we all know so well.

I lay my head on jcs shoulder as we continue to watch the little kids run around.

"Hey jc?" I say.

"Yes?" He replies.

"I'm Madly in love with you." I tell him.

He was about to reply, but is interrupted by me standing up. I didn't stand up for any random reason, I stood up because I realized my pants were super wet.

"Jc?" I say, panicked. Je stands up.

"Are you Ok?" He asks, panicked as well. I shake my head as I begin to feel my first contraction. I look at jc in fear.

"My water broke." I say. I grab on to jcs hand and squeeze tightly as another contraction comes along.

He begins to panic.

"KIAN!!!" he shouts. Kian and Ali come running over with Becky.

"What's wrong?" Kian asks worried.

"Call 911! Maddies water broke!" Jc shouts, panicking.

"Jc, maddie, you both need to breath, okay? Maddie may be the one in labor right now, but jc you're not making things better. She needs words of encouragement." Ali tells us. She sits next to me. "Maddie, just breath, you can get through this." She says. I nod, breathing in and out.

Soon, an ambulance pulls up. They put me in, and jc comes with. I feel another contraction and cry in pain, holding jcs hand tightly.

We get to the hospital and they bring me to the room. The contractions get worse. Jc becomes a mess.

Soon, the doctors told me I was centimeters away, and it was time to push. Jc finally calmed down after realizing he needed to help me through it.

He came to my side and held my hand. He helped me with breathing exercises, and talked me through it.

Soon, I heard the most beautiful sounds in the world. Crying. I look up and see a little baby girl being held by a nurse. Jc cuts the cord.

"Would you like to hold her?" The nurse asks politely.

"Yes please." I say, with tears running down my face.

She hands me little baby Ali. I study my baby. She already has a full head of blond hair, brown eyes, and cute little nose, chubby cheeks, and tiny freckle like marks. She had both of our features. I kiss her on the head, then the nurse takes her to clean her off.

I look at jc.

"We made that." I say proudly, tears running down my face.

"I know baby, we did good." He replies smiling wide.

"Hey maddie?" Jc says.

"Yes?" I reply.

"I'm Madly in love with you."

Well, not really. There's still the epilogue. But its the last real chapter... I don't know what I'm saying, ignore me.
