Next scene : Ukiyo arrives and hurries to the studio but no one was there.
Ukiyo : (wonders)
(He goes out and sees Mika.)
Ukiyo : Oe! (goes to her)
Mika : Matsubara! You're already back.
Ukiyo : (breathing heavily) What happened here? Where's Kaoru? And Yuuya?
Mika : Breathe first, Matsubara.
Ukiyo : Where did they go?
Mika : The shoot was canceled.
Ukiyo : (shocked) What?
Mika : There was no shoot... Kaoru felt ill and left... so Iguchi-san announced a re-schedule.
Ukiyo : You don't happen to know why she suddenly felt ill, do you? How is she now? Did she go home?
Mika : I think so. Most probably.
Ukiyo : (thinks) Arigatou.
(He turns around to leave but Rena is standing on the way.)
Rena : Can I have a word with you?
Ukiyo : ...
(In Rena's office.)
Rena : (gives him a letter) Read this.
Ukiyo : Huh? (reads) ... ... (shocked) What's is this...?
Rena : Done reading? As it is written there.
Ukiyo : (reads once more) ... I don't understand.
Rena : It's a promotion.
Ukiyo : Uh, yes, I can read... but why? How? ... where did this come from?
Rena : I've been thinking about it for a long time. I think, no, the company thinks you've got what it takes to be assigned in New York with me.
Ukiyo : What? ... (doubts) I still don't get it... why now? ... I mean...

Rena : (shocked) W-what?
Ukiyo : Someone needs me to be there for her... so I can't go... not now. Sorry. Just look for someone else. (bows and tries to leave)

Ukiyo : (stops)
