(Upon arriving at the apartment...)
Kaoru : (opens the door) Tadaima.
Koichi : Kaoru!
Kaoru :(startled) O, oniisan! You're back already.
Koichi : Just where did you go, huh? I was worried about you!
Kaoru : Eh?
Koichi : I called you and you wouldn't answer your phone. I also called home but no one's answering so I hurried back.
Kaoru : Ah...! I left my cellphone in my room. Gomen.
Koichi : What a clumsy-! Anyway, where did you go off to? Don't you know that it's bad for your health? You're not that well and the temperature's dropping- (suddenly stops) (sees Ukiyo)
Ukiyo: (comes in and bows) Ojamashimasu... [Sorry for the intrusion.]
Koichi : O...o. Matsubara-kun... (calms down) I didn't know you we're there. (glares at Kaoru) You didn't tell me he's here.
Ukiyo : Sumimasen. I got out of work early so I decided to drop by to check her condition... then we just decided to go out and buy something for her birthday.
Koichi : Wha-
Kaoru : Oniisan.
Koichi : (looksat her)
Kaoru: Omae wa saiaku. [You're the worst.]
Koichi : Eh?
Kaoru : You didn't even greet me this morning. You forgot too, didn't you?
Koichi : (backs off) Of course not.
Kaoru: Usotsuki. [What a liar.]
Koichi : I just wanted to surprise you... so I pretended not to remember. But I really did. H-hora!
Kaoru : Huh? (goes inside and sees the cake packaging on the table) Ah! Cake?
Koichi : I told you I didn't forget. (still looks guilty)
Kaoru :(delighted) Uwa! I guess you didn't!
Koichi : *sigh
Kaoru : Arigatou~!
Koichi : Maa, maa. (invites Ukiyo) Come in.
Ukiyo : (goes inside)
Koichi : So you bought food?
Ukiyo : Uh, she decided to buy something to cook.
Koichi : You're cooking, Kaoru?
Kaoru : Not much... but I want to be the one to prepare something for the celebration. You'll help me, right?
Koichi : I'll do my best. (chuckles)
(Ukiyo waits at the living room and looks over some books at the bookshelf. He hears the siblings argue about cooking.)
Ukiyo :(chuckles) (looks back at the shelf and sees a familiar sketch book)(he takes it a opens it) Areee... I remember this...
