"A fight? Oh yes I'm very aware of that." Stef said sarcastically.
"Stef." Lena muttered.
"Why did you get into a fight? Huh? What happened?" Stef asked angrily.
Brandon looked down.
"What happened Brandon?" Stef asked raising her voice.
"Tommy, was just being rude." Brandon said back softly.
"So you had to smash his face?" Stef said.
Brandon looked down again and rubbed his red knuckles with his thumb.
"Brandon go to your room please." Lena said calmly as Stef looked away in anger.
Brandon got up smoothly, trying to hold back the pain in which spread through his body.
Stef and Lena looked up at him like they knew he was hurt. Which they did. The boy was bruised and bloody. How could he not hurt.
Brandon climbed the steps and made his way into his bedroom.
Falling down onto his bed he just sat on it and rubbed his raw knuckles again.
"That was quite some fight" Callie said.
He looked up to see her leaning against his door frame.
He gave a weak smile, his lip was split so it hurt to smile.
"You're pretty good at smashing people, you know." Callie laughed a little.
Brandon smiled, more happily this time even though it sent a sharp pain through his bottom lip.
"I mean first you beat the shit out of Liam, but I guess he deserved it though." Callie looked down.
"Tommy did too." He said quietly as he looked away.
Callie looked at him in almost shock.
"What were you guys fighting about?" She asked.
He looked up at her.
There was a moment of silence and then he spoke.
"You." He said.
Callie's eyes widened and she felt her heart rate rise.
"Um, so, what did he say?" She asked.
"Just some stuff he shouldn't of said." He shrugged.
Callie and Brandon's eyes met. The darkness of the room was still light enough to see one others emotion.
"I have a lot of homework, so I should..." Brandon lied.
"Yeah." Callie said pushing herself off his door frame. "bye."
She left Brandon's room and made her way back into hers.
Brandon fell flat on his bed which hurt his stomach.
He closed his slightly black eyes and breathed in and out slowly."So what was the fight about?" Mariana asked as Callie fell onto her bed.
"He just got mad at something he said, nothing really." Callie replied back as she laid on her bed with her eyes closed.
"Hey, can I ask you something." Mariana said after a while.
"Yeah." Callie replied.
She waited for her to ask but Mariana didn't. She grew confused and then sat up.
"What really happened between you and Brandon?" Mariana asked, her voice seemed worried a little.
Callie looked at her.
"I don't think that's a good idea." She replied.
Mariana have her a look. "Come on. Why not? You're adopted now, it's not like that's gonna change." She shrugged. "And I'm your best friend so you have to tell me."
Callie looked away and then back at her.
"Ok. But you have to promise that you can't ever tell anyone, ok?"
Mariana looked almost in shock and worry. "Ok, I promise."
Callie adjusted herself so she was now sitting back against the wall at the top of her bed.
"So what do you wanna know?" She asked as she crossed her legs together.
"What really happened between you two?"
Callie questioned if she should've said anything at all. What happened between her and Brandon was such a big secret that if it was out it would ruin everything.
"Well we kissed at the wedding-"
"And how was that?" Mariana asked suddenly.
"Mariana really? God."
Mariana smiled and then walked over and sat on Callie's bed in from of her.
"I mean how you felt." Her voice was more serious and mature now. "Like, did you love him?"
Callie swallowed and looked down. "Yeah."
Mariana's eyes widened. "Did you ever tell him?"
Callie looked up at her. "Yeah."
"Oh my god." Mariana laughed. "Ok ok, now you have to tell me everything."
"Fine." Callie sighed.
