Part 2

The lesson must of gone so quickly. All we did was laugh and tell jokes. These kids weren't like other popular people I've met before. They are so friendly. And they'd even speak to a geek like me. I had all the same lessons as them for the whole year. This will be fun! I thought. I walked into my next lesson and saw Calum snogging a blonde Barbie doll. I tried to get a seat as far away from them but I think other people had that idea as well. This time the tables were in partners and we could choose who to sit with. Whoever we chose to sit next to, we'd be doing all out science projects with them. But I ended up sitting on the table right next to Calum's because there were no tables left. I covered my eyes but they kept going. Argh I hate it. It's so embarrassing! Why would he go out with anyone like her. I'm not like, jealous or anything. I think.

5 minutes later the Barbie doll walked out and and Ashton, Michael and Luke walked in. Michael sat next to me. Ok, I guess my partnering wasn't bad. I mean I had got to know him. "Hey Jaz! I heard we have to do science projects together. Great!" He said. "Yeah" I said nervously. "Wait Michael go away. She's my partner." Calum said. "Errrr. Why don't we... All work together? Like a group of 3?" I said to ease the tension. "Fine" they both said in unison. "Wait so does this mean we are like a threesome?" Michael asked quietly. "Err. No but kind of. Just skip out the inappropriate parts I guess" I said. Luke and Ash were sitting at the back actually doing work so they wouldn't have to do it at home. "Everyone pack up please. Oh and take these sheets on your way out. It tells you what your project is. I suggest you work after school on it together." Mrs Neehaww said. "Cool! Err tonight after school at my house? We have band practice today anyway so you can come along Autumn" Michael asked "yeah sure!" I said. It was finally the end of the day. Jey told me at lunch tht he's going to some gaming club after school so is have to find my own way home. I was going to michaels so I could probably just walk with them. I called mum and waited outside to see if my 'friends' were there. "Hey mum I have to go to a friends house for a science project. I'll be home later today! Oh and Jey said he's going to some gaming club! Bye mum love you!" I spoke into the phone. Just as I put my phone in my pocket the boys walked past. "Hey! Need a lift to my place?" Michael asked. "Err well you guys go I'll walk I guess just give me your address. I don't want to be too clingy" I said. "No, you're not clingy! Just come with us. But I'm afraid we don't have many seats so you're gonna have to sit on someone's lap" Michael said disapprovingly. Great. Fabulous. Michael got in the drivers seat and Calum made Ashton get in the middle and Luke sat in the back. "I don't understand why I can't just sit in the back." I said. "Oh no, err Luke likes sitting in the back on his own. He sometimes has erm... Tantrums?" Calum said. "Right. Okay?" I said nervously. "Okay well I'll sit in there first then you can climb up and sit on me" Calum said. I nodded and began climbing up the van. It was packed with empty pizza boxes and Taco Bell wrappers. I sat on Calum lap eventually and felt really uncomfortable. I tensed. "Don't worry. We're almost there" Cal smiled. We were finally here and I jumped off Calum's lap and ran to the front door. There was literally beads of sweat coming down from my forehead. Michael unlocked the door and introduced me to his mum. "Hello hunny" she greeted me. "Hi! You look pretty today" I replied. She thanked me and I followed the boys down to the basement. I saw a huge TV screen and more empty pizza boxes. Michael must love pizza. I stood by the stairs, not knowing what to do. "Come sit on the sofa" Michael said. "Oh ok thanks" I said and sat down. "So what's our science project about?" I asked politely. "You seriously thought we'd be doing that sort of stuff? Nah mate. We got band practice and gaming. What could go wrong" he replied encouragingly. "Oh ok." I said nervously. "Honey I'm going to the shops! I'll be back soon" Michael's mum shouted from upstairs. "Err I think I'm gonna go to the toilet. Where is it?" I asked. "I'll show you" said Calum. He took me to the toilet upstairs and we had a conversation. "I really like you Autumn" he admitted. "Err that's nice I like you too in a friend way of course" I replied. "Yeah but I mean I really like you" he stated. "You have a girlfriend." I said. "She's not a girlfriend. She's a part time girlfriend-like girl" he said. "Confusing but I'll deal with it" I said and looked straight ahead. Ok so I kinda liked him too but he's popular. Then I had an idea. "Yeah well I like Michael." I said. "Wait what?!" Calum screamed. "IS EVERYTHING ALRIGHT UP THERE?" Luke shouted. "YEAH WERE FINE" I shouted back. "Prove you like him. Go kiss him." Cal said. I gulped. "Fine. After I go to the toilet." I said. He walked down the stairs. I freshened up and chewed strawberry gum. I spat it out and walked downstairs. Michael was on the sofa playing mario kart. I walked over to him and say next to him. "Hey! Nice place!" I said to him. "Thanks" he said and put his arm round me. I looked over at Calum and he was going red. "So I was thinking. Maybe we could go out sometime?" I asked. "Erm yeah sure I guess. As long as there is pizza" he said. "Yay!" I said and kissed him. I walked past Calum to pick up my school bag. He was so angry. I kinda wanted to laugh. After all he deserved it after making me sit on his lap. Michael sat up and paused the game. "Did she actually just kiss me?" He asked and I giggled. "Bye guys see you tomorrow" I said. They just looked at me.
