A life evolved by change

Three

I wake up bright and early and stretch. It was Friday. Finally! Milly was sitting by my feet looking at me like she had done something wrong. I got up and searched my room for any signs of her wrong doing. Then I felt it. Underneath my foot. She had urinated on my floor. Eww. Great way to start the morning! I cleaned it up and washed my hands.

I walked over to my closet and picked out a pair of Aqua skinny jeans and a sky blue fitted t-shirt. I turned around and grabbed a pair of silver flats along with a multi-colored floral scarf.

     I walked out of my closet and up to my vanity. Hmm hair up or down? I eventually  chose half up and half down. I delicately braided the half that was up , behind my head, and dropped it down. I smeared my whole face with moisturizer and gently dabbed a bit of foundation on my face and covered it with some powder. Lastly I put a coat of mascara on that was so light you wouldn't be able to tell it was there.

     I grabbed my phone off the charger, picked up my schoolbag, gym bag and ran downstairs to grab my lunch from Marvin.

     "Here you go!" He exclaimed as he handed me my lunch and gave me a hug goodbye.

     "Thanks Marvin! Have a good day!" I said as I hugged him back.

    "You too Serena!" He replied.

     I walked out of the door and header to my car. I really wanted to take my motorcycle but there was no way I could hold all three things and drive safely at the same time. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

     I threw everything in the backseat and got in. I turned the key, started the car and put it into reverse.

     Then I threw the door open and ran to my room to grab my sketchbook. I needed it for my art class today.

     I ran back to my car as fast as I could to make sure I could still get to school at my usual time.

      I threw open the door and say in the front seat. I closed my door and placed my sketchbook onto the passenger seat. I put my foot on the accelerator and off I went.

     As soon as I got into the main road, I rolled down my windows and turned the volume up. I connected my phone into the car and the music changed from Sky Full of Stars to Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift.

      I sang along and took a right. Then a left. Then another left. Then a right. And then oops I missed a turn. I turned around and got back on track. I took my final turn and pulled into Mythan Academy. It is a private school because mom wants me to excel with learning and be able to continue sports too.

     Speaking of mom, dad called and said that she was doing the same as normal. Except that the cancer was only getting worse. I couldn't concentrate during my math test last week. I kept thinking about how much I wish mom wasn't in a coma. And that resulted in me getting a D. Just wonderful! My grade went from a 100 A to a 86 B. Good thing we had a lot of things taken up for grades this semester. Although a B is very low for me, I have to accept it and make it better.

     I finally found a parking spot in the midst of all my thinking. I grabbed my sketchbook and put it in my schoolbag. I swung my schoolbag over my shoulders, grabbed my lunch kit, gym bag, and phone and walked towards the main building. I jogged up the steps and opened the glass door that featured our school name. Our secretary greeted me with a warm "hello" and I waved back.

I made my way to my locker, 303 and put my key in the middle of it. Call me lazy, but putting in my combination took way too long. I put my lunch and gym bag in my locker and shut the door.
