After living with the Wagners for about a month, competition was still going. (Y/n) tried by putting rat poison in Lucius's food. But a rat somehow ate his food when he wasn't there, and it died, next to the plate.
So Lucius pretty much got the hint that his food was poisoned and threw it out. Lucius tried to hypnotize her to commit suicide, but that didn't work. Since she also already mastered hypnotize.
They were at each others necks for a month and neither of them got close to killing each other. But they found trying to kill each other pretty fun. But they never admitted that. And technically, they still hated each other.
But there was this one day, that they were going to despise the most. (Y/n) was on her balcony thinking of plans.
"Madam, Mr.Wagner wishes to see you in his studies."Alastair says at (Y/n)'s doorway to her balcony.
"Okay, Alastair. And please, just call me by my first name. I'm starting to get tired of this 'madam' thing."She says.
"Yes, (F/n)."Alastair says as he walks away. "But you still can't beat this view..."(Y/n) mutters to herself as she walks away.
She walks to Charles office, as she walked she greeted some of the staff and the family members.
"Good morning, Jovita."
"Buenos dias, señorita (F/n)."
"Good morning, Tom."
"Morning, (Nickname)."
And so on. As she entered Charles's office, Lucius is also there.
"Good morning, Charles."She says. She looks at Lucius,"Lucius."Was her greeting. "You called for me, Charles."She asks.
"Yes, I called for you because I want you and Lucius to go run some errands together."He says.
Both her and Lucius's eyes slightly widen.
"Me? And Lucius?"She asks with an eyebrow raised and pointing at herself then to Lucius.
"Yes, (Y/n)."He says. "If I may ask, why me and Lucius?"She asks. "Because. I had my eyes peeled and saw how you and Lucius don't get along. So I thought,'Why not have Lucius and (Y/n) get together for a day and get to know each other better. And you know, get along'."He simply states.
(Y/n) and Lucius look at each other then back at the man who is almost forcing them to get along. "Charles, um... I'm fine on running your errands by myself. I mean, Lucius doesn't have to come with me."She says trying to come up with an excuse.
"Are you saying that you don't want to get along with my son?"Charles asks raising an eyebrow. "N-No! That's not what I'm saying! What I'm saying is... Is..."She says desperately not trying to sound like a jerk.
"Lucius."He says. Lucius looks up at his father. "Me and (Y/n) need to talk. Can you wait out in the hall?"He asks. Lucius gives a single nod and politely leaves the office and closes the door behind him.
"Have a seat, (Y/n)."Charles says. She obeys and nervously seats herself on a chair across from Charles. "Now, (Y/n), I'm going to ask you some... To somewhat "personal" questions. About how you feel towards Lucius."He says. He says in a almost serious tone of voice.
"I want you to answer to me truthfully. I'll understand your words about him. Do I make myself clear, (Y/n)?"He asks calmly.
She nods slowly listening closely to what he wanted to ask her.
"Now the first question,"He says as he tapped his pen on his desk,"Do you have anything against him?"
'Well yes... Competition...'
"No..."She says in hesitation. He looks at her for a moment then continues,"Do you hate him?"
'Yes... On so many levels...'
"No..."She sighs.
"Right."He says almost sounding like he didn't believe her,"Now tell me, (Y/n). What are your dislikes? Your dislikes about Lucius."He asks.
'Everything...'
"Um..."She rubs the nape of her neck thinking of what to say,"My dislikes about Lucius are... Uhm... He's... Quiet... Harsh at times... Stubborn... Neutral... I think that's it..."She says.
"That's it?"He asks raising an eyebrow. She nods. "Alright..."Says quietly under his breath,"Next question, do you like Lucius?"
"Like as in...?"She asks unsure. "Oh I don't know. Friend like. General like. Lover like."He says as he shrugged his shoulders.
She winced when he said,"Lover like." "Generally."She says.
"Okay. Now, (Y/n). Half of the information you have given are not honest. I know and can tell if you're not answering me truthfully. I can tell because not just your words are truthful. It counts on your actions. Nancy and I can tell whenever Lucius isn't being honest with us. Because he doesn't talk, we can tell just by his actions. And you, have shown many actions of dishonesty."
She slightly cowered. Then regained confidence and sat up in her chair,"I'm sorry, Charles for being dishonest. The truth is, there's this specific reason why I despise him. And why he despises me. We both have this reasoning why we don't get along very well. But that reasoning is kept to be classified."
"Now there's the honesty."Charles says as he gets up from his chair. He walked over to (Y/n) and sat on his desk looking at her.
"(Y/n) I totally understand and I appreciate your honesty. Yes, Lucius could be stubborn, harsh, his neutrality, and quiet. But everybody has there imperfections. And Lucius has an imperfection. But this imperfection suits him well. Nobody is perfect. We, as people, are all the same. Just, give him a chance. And then you'll see that you two can get along."He says.
She looks down at her hands then back up at Charles and nods. "So will you and Lucius go out and run the errands?"He asks. She nods. "Good. I appreciate you giving him a chance."Charles says as he smiled kindly
He sits back down at his desk. "Alastair will give you and Lucius the list of things you need to get. And most importantly, I hope you two will get along."Charles says. She gave a single nod as she stood up from her seat. And exited the office.
As she went to the hallway. She looked at Lucius and scowled. Lucius heard everything from the office. And he glared at her.
