I heard a moaning noise from somewhere, and after a few minutes I realized it was me. I could feel heat hovering over me, murmuring nonsense. That's weird.

I opened my eyes and saw Seth's worried face inches above mine. I tried to recoil, but since I was already laying flat on the ground, it didn't work.

"Thank you!" Seth yelled, throwing his hands in the air, looking up at the sky. What was he doing? Who was he thanking? God?

Seth looked down at me and sighed with relief. "Are you okay? You were out for about an hour."

"Out? Wh-what happened?" I asked, confused, trying to think of a reasonable explanation.

"You fainted." Seth said calmly. Fainted? Why did I faint? That's when it all came back to me, the creepy vampire, the chase, the fire, all of it.

I gasped, sitting up, ignoring Seth's protest. Oh my god, I killed a living creature, granted, he was pretty much evil, but he was still living, and I killed him. I whipped my head wildly, looking at the destruction I made. When I first came here, it was all trees, now, it was all dirt.

I looked at Seth, choking back a sob. I did all of this. It was my fault. I destroyed homes of hundreds of animals. I destroyed a beautiful forest because I was having a bad day.

I looked down at myself, finding myself in only Seth's shirt. I blushed, despite the situation. He had seen me naked, I remember. It was so embarrassing, that it almost made me forget what I did, almost.

"I want to go home." I mumbled, and tried to stand up, but found I couldn't. I growled and caught sight of burns on my legs. What? I didn't feel them before.

Seth sighed and picked me up bridal style. A sound of protest caught in my throat. What was the point? I frowned and wrapped my arms around his neck, afraid he would drop me.

As we journeyed to my house, Seth tried to make small talk, but after 5 minutes of him talking about hairspray, I cut him off with my own question.

"How did you find me?" My tone of voice was a little more sharper than intended, but Seth didn't seem to mind.

"Well, after an hour of waiting for you to come back, Edward sent me out to look for you. Nessie, who was still a bit pissed, didn't like that." I snorted, even if she wasn't mad, she still wouldn't have liked that.

"So, I galloped out to find you. It took me awhile, too, but when I finally did, you were on fire...and killing some vampire." The last bit, Seth had said uncomfortable, he obviously knew that I was feeling guilty. I knew he didn't care about some "leech" getting killed.

"So, I was on fire." I mused to myself, and Seth nodded. How did that happen? Did I have a gift? I hoped so. Ever since I was little, I wished I had a gift. Nessie did, my parents did, and so, I thought, I should have one too.

But, Nessie's was some weird mixture of Mom and Dad's, where did the fire come from?

"How are you not freaked out by this?" I said, surprised that he was so calm.

"I always knew there was a fire deep within you." He joked, nudging my arm. I scoffed, nudging him back. He laughed loudly, and we settled back into silence.

Sooner or later, I could see my house in the distance. I knew that Dad could hear me right now, so I tried to explain everything mentally, so he could explain for me.

But when we got inside, Dad wasn't there. Neither was Mom nor Nessie. I raised my eyebrows.

Grandpa took me in his arms, and carried me over to the couch. He got his medical stuff, came back, and checked my burns.

"Where's...?" I trailed off, unsure if I should continue. I didn't want to know that they went on a joy ride, or something, forgetting about me.

"Renesmee needed to steam off after Seth left. They took her to the park." Grandpa said. The park? Really? They went to the park, while I was running away from a psychopath, hungry vampire. Why couldn't they just wait for me?

I smiled weakly at him, as he finished working on my burns. "Don't worry, sweetheart, they're only minor burns. And, with your vampire side, it'll be gone very soon, maybe in a day." He assured me, thinking that was why I looked upset.

I smiled at him, again. He was just so kind. "Thanks Grandpa." I murmured.

"Lily, honey, we have to go hunting. Are you okay on your own?" Grandma said, worriedly. Knowing her, if I said no, she would stay home, hovering over me, same with the rest of the family.

I nodded, grinning as wide as I could. Jasper narrowed his eyes at me, feeling my sadness, but didn't say anything.

"Okay, but when we come back, you are telling us everything." Rosalie said, and I nodded, once again.

They looked at each other, shrugged, said their goodbyes, and walked out the door, Seth followed. Obviously, my burns were not to be worried about.

I sighed, I had nothing to do now. I could read, but right now, I was too bummed out.

I started pacing around the room, thinking of something to do. Board game? No, I hated those. T.V? Nope, I knew there was nothing on that I liked. Dancing? I inwardly snorted, I can't dance. I needed something to distract me from thinking about what happened.

Suddenly, I tripped over thin air. My gasp was cut short when my face slammed into the floor. Ow. I pushed myself up, and leaned on my forearms.

Something blue caught my eye. I crawled over, and inspected it. It was Seth's phone. My eyebrows furrowed as I considered reading his texts, when the phone vibrated, indicating that he had a message. I finally decided, and flipped open his phone, going to his inbox.

I bit my lip as I stared at the I.D of the person who texted Seth. Jacob. Should I text him back? I really want to talk to him, to hear his voice, just once. Would it hurt? No, he would love it, I'm his imprint.

I looked through Seth's contacts and found "Jake", I smiled and pressed call. The ringing hummed in my ear, and I held my breath.

"Hello, Seth. Come to brag some more?" Jacob beautiful voice filled my ear. Brag?

"Umm no, I'm not here to brag. It's me...you know, Lily? Remember me?" I don't know why I was suddenly nervous, it was like it just switched on at Jake's voice.

There was a pause on the other end, and all I could hear was Jacob's heavy breathing. It seemed to get faster as the seconds ticked by.

"Lily..." He breathed, and I almost gasped. The way he said my name was so intense and passionate. I loved it.

"Yeah, um, Seth left his phone here when he left, and me being nosy happened to have been looking through his contacts, where I found your name. And-" I took a deep breath, I was rambling.

"Everyone left me alone, and I was wondering if you could come over or-" I was cut off by Jake.

"YES! Sure, totally, of course. Why wouldn't I?" He said in a rush, and I giggled.

"Okay, um do you know where I live?"

"Yeah!"

"Okay, well seeya!"

"Yeah!"

"Bye." I hung up, but not before I heard another "yeah!" I giggled again.

Okay maybe my birthday won't be the worst ever.
