Meeting Abigail

Abigail McSweetheart was a teenage girl who also appeared to live in London. She was a shy and quaint maiden, yet she was also very smart (that's why she had to study already at 16). She was also very handsome (even though she never noticed it) and all the guys who saw her fell immediately in love with her. Yet she never felt in love herself.

The only love in her life she had, was that for stereoscopic images. There seemed to be no-one on this planet who seemed to love these things more than Abigail. Her love for stereoscopic images was, together with reading, the only thing she liked about her life. That was because Abigail's life wasn't that much of a fun fest.

Yes, our poor, petite Abigail was carrying a dark, dark, dark and also troubled past with her. That's because her parents died when she was ten. Her mom died in a car crash, soon after that her dad died after being shot in one of London's dark alleyways (life lesson kids: don't go in the alleyways in the night) and her twin siblings were killed by a randomly-falling anvil.

After her whole family was killed in a very short lapse of time, she moved in with her uncle, who only cared for booze and not for her. Because she hated him with a fiery passion, she wasn't that much 'home'. For her, it didn't felt like a warm, cosy home.

The streets of London, in and around the university, that was her real home. She spent many lonely days and evenings hanging around in coffee bars. Alone, because she had no friends.

Abigail was hanging around in her favourite coffee-bar, Joe's. She had just bought a stereoscopic card of the Taj Mahal, which was one of the rarest cards there are on planet Earth. It costed her 10 pounds, but this purchase was worth every penny. She sipped on her latte macchiato and sighed, while staring blankly at the snow-filled street outside. She hoped that there was someone out there who also loved stereoscopic images.

But what she didn't knew, was that Lady Fortune had a surprise for her...
