The entire day passed normally. Or at least. That's what the CEOs thought.

Breakfast.
Lunch.
Tea.
Garden.
Library.
Everything looked peaceful.

Too peaceful.

Because the mafia brothers had become unusually quiet. No teasing. No arguments. No possessive comments.
Nothing.

And that alone was enough to make everyone nervous.
Especially Jaddu. Especially Virat. Especially Yash.

Because silence from these men was dangerous.
Very dangerous.

Right now everyone was sitting in the living room.
Sammy coloring beside Virat.
Shub reading.
Yash pretending to read.
Mayank pretending to read.
Siraj actually reading.
And Jaddu drinking coffee.

Siraj, however, was not as calm as he looked. His fingers kept tightening around the book. His eyes kept flicking toward the hallway.
And every time Mahi shifted in his seat, Siraj's shoulders tensed.

He knew.
He knew this was coming.

Then suddenly.

Mahi stood up. Closed his laptop.
And looked at Jaddu.

Mahi- come with me.

Jaddu froze. Just a little. Very little.
But Mahi noticed. Of course he noticed.

Jaddu slowly looked up.
Jaddu- why.

Mahi smiled.
Mahi- office.

That was all. Just one word.
Office.

Jaddu's soul left his body.
Immediately.

Virat looked away.
Yash suddenly became interested in the wall.
Shub lowered his book.
Mayank nearly dropped his juice.
Siraj swallowed hard.

Mahi's eyes slowly moved across every face. Then he smiled. A dangerous smile.

Mahi- Jaan.

Jaddu stood up.
Jaddu- coming.

Mahi wrapped a hand around his waist. Pulled him close.
And walked away.

Jaddu already knew.
He was dead.

Completely dead.

Inside the home office.

The door closed. Click. Jaddu stood there. Mahi sat down on his chair.

Silent.
Very silent.

Then he opened a file. Turned the screen.
And looked at Jaddu.

Mahi- explain.

Jaddu looked. His soul left his body again. The report. The exact report he fixed yesterday.

Mahi leaned back. Watching him.
Mahi- should I explain it instead.

Jaddu stayed silent.
Mahi opened another file. Then another. Then another.
All fixed.
All corrected.
All touched.

Mahi- interesting.

Jaddu looked down. Mahi got up.

Walked toward him. Slowly. Very slowly.
Until he stopped right in front of him.

Mahi- you know what impressed me.

Jaddu swallowed. Mahi gently grabbed his wrist.

Mahi- not that someone entered my office.
