Three days. Three long days. And in those three days, Shub, Yash, Shrey, and Mayank had lived like ghosts.
No one shouted at them.
No one touched them.
No one comforted them.
That was the punishment. Silent treatment.
Cold looks. Empty faces. No soft words. No hugs. No attention.
At first, they had thought it would be easy. At first, they had thought they could handle it.
But now?
Now it was breaking them from the inside. Every hour felt longer than the last. Every room felt colder. Every step felt heavier.
And the worst part was that they could see the others. They could see the mafia brothers. They could see the way they were still breathing, still working, still talking to everyone else.
Just not to them.
That silence was worse than shouting.
Much worse.
Yash was the first one to break that morning.
He had woken up early. Too early. He had stood in the kitchen for almost half an hour, making tea with his own hands. He wanted to do something nice.
Something small.
Something that might make Sanju look at him again. His fingers had burned while holding the hot kettle. He had hissed in pain. The skin on one finger had turned red.
But he had hidden it immediately.
He did not want anyone to see. If they saw, they would say he was being dramatic. They would say he was immature. They would say he could not even make tea properly. Who told you to enter kitchen.
So Yash had swallowed the pain. He had brushed away his tears with the back of his hand.
Then he had carefully placed the tea tray on both palms and walked toward Sanju's room.
His heart was beating so fast that it hurt.
He knocked softly. No answer.
He opened the door slowly.
Sanju was standing near the mirror, fixing his cufflinks. He looked perfect. Calm. Cold. Untouchable.
Yash stepped inside with the tray. His voice came out small.
Yash- I made tea for you.
Sanju did not turn around. He did not even look at the tray.
Yash stood there for a second, waiting. Waiting for a word. A glance.
Anything.
But Sanju only adjusted his sleeve and picked up his phone. Then he walked past him. Just like that.
No reaction. No answer. No touch. No warmth.
Yash's hands trembled. The tea tray shook slightly. He looked at the cup. Then at the door Sanju had just walked through. Then his knees gave out. He fell down right there on the floor. The tray slipped from his hands and landed beside him. The tea did not spill much, but Yash did not care.
He covered his face and started crying badly. Not quietly. Not politely. Badly. His shoulders shook. His chest hurt. His throat burned.
He had made that tea with so much hope. He had burned his finger for it. And Sanju had not even looked at it. Not even once.
Meanwhile, in another part of the mansion,
Shubman was trying his best to get Abhi's attention. He had tried everything. He had brought files. He had asked if they needed help in business. He had offered to check reports. He had even stood near Mahi's office for almost ten minutes, hoping Abhi would notice him.
Abhi had noticed him. Of course he had.
But he had ignored him anyway. Shub stood near the office door again, holding a file in both hands. Abhi was sitting beside Mahi, discussing something serious.
Shub cleared his throat softly. No one looked up.
He stepped forward a little.
Shub- Abhi...
Still nothing. He tried again.
Shub- do you need help with anything?
