I woke up, happy as ever. I had my beautiful mate in my arms. And that beautiful mate of mine let me mark her. She finally let me mark her. Maybe she's warming up to me.. Maybe she'll come with me to my pack? That would be the best thing ever. I couldn't be happier.

I kiss the back of her head as she slept peacefully. I smiled. I then noticed that there was an empty spot in the bed next to Chloe. I shot out of bed. "Raphael?" I call out. I walk to the bathroom, knocking on the door. No answer. I open the door and he wasn't in there.

Where the fuck is he?

I quickly put on some shorts and rush out the room. "Raphael?!" I call out, throughout the pack house. I heard multiple people telling me to shut up, but I didn't care. I had to find Raphael. I know Chloe cares deeply about him already, and even I do. He was about to become my adopted child..

"Caleb?" I hear a small voice. I breathe out a sigh of relief.

I turn around and see Raphael with an empty glass of what seemed to be milk. I walk over to him and hug him. "Thank goodness."

"Is everything okay?" He asks.

"I thought something had happened to you."

"I just wanted some milk." He tells me.

"Wake me up next time, please. Just so I know where you went." I tell him, pulling back from the hug. I take his empty glass and we walk to the kitchen.

"I was going to come back, though." He says, while I wash the glass.

"I know but I got worried."

"I'm sorry." He said. I turned around, drying my hands, and saw tears in his eyes. I quickly kneel down in front of him and take his small hands in mine.

"Don't cry, little guy. I didn't mean to make you cry."

"I didn't mean to make you mad."

"I'm not mad, I was just worried that's all."

"I'm sorry." I pull him into a hug and then pull back, ruffling his hair.

"Come on, shall we head upstairs?"

"I want to go outside, I'm bored."

"How about we go upstairs and you get showered up, yeah? Chloe and I have to train the pack for a bit and then we will have our showers and get ready to go out. Does that sound good?"

"How long will that be?"

"A few hours."

"Oh." He looks as if he's thinking about it, then grins. "Okay! Can we go to the park then?"

"Of course. Wherever you want to go, we shall go there."

"Yay!"

"Now come on, let's get you showered and wake Chloe up."

We were currently at the park, enjoying the nice day. It was forecasted to rain but it clearly hasn't. We thought we'd chill out here until, or if, it rained.

"So, did you enjoy last night?" I ask her.

"Eh, it was alright." 'It was so fucking perfect, with him in that sexy suit. Holy shit.' Oh how I love that I can now hear her thoughts..

"Perfect, huh?" I say, and she blushes a deep red. That's right, baby. I heard what you said.

"Yeah, perfect." She laughs out, rolling her eyes too.

"Good." I kiss her cheek and watch her blush deepen. I smile and shake my head, looking over to where Raphael was playing. "What's happening with the adoption stuff?"

"We've got to fill this paper out and give it to Jaxon."

"Oh, alright. Simple, then?"

"Yes, I guess so."

"That's alright then." We stay silent for a bit, and I take hold of her hand. "We're kind of going to be parents."

"Kind of scary. I mean, we're only 18."

"True, but we can do it. I mean, we're saving him basically."

"We already saved him."

"I meant that if we didn't adopt him, Jaxon would send him on his way."

"I wouldn't let it happen. If Raphael goes, I go. We are doing Jaxon a huge favour by training his pack for him, he should be grateful. He owes us big time. I didn't appreciate him telling us that we had to adopt Raph or say bye-bye to him. He's only young and lost his parents. Has Jaxon got no heart?" I put my arm around her and kiss the side of her head.

"It's okay, sweetheart. We've got things sorted now, no need to fret about it."

"I know, I know. It's just...frustrating!" She huffs out. Goddess, she's so cute.

"Chloe! Caleb!" We look to see Raphael running towards us, waving a piece of paper that was in his hand. Why has he got a piece of paper? Where'd he get it from?

"What's that you got there?" Chloe asks, standing up to meet him half way. I join them both and see her reading over it. "Where did you get this?" She asks, fright clearly evident in her voice.

"A man gave it to me." Raphael says, a confused expression taking place.

"Chloe, let me see it." I demand. She hesitates before giving it over.

I see you're aware of who I am. Just beware, I am coming for you and your brother..oh and that little unborn sibling of yours. Hm, you might want to tell this kid that he shouldn't talk to strangers.. I'll be seeing you soon, Chloe.

I crunched the letter up in my hands, anger taking over. "Raphael, if you ever see that man you run. Okay? Run as fast as you can." I tell him, sternly.

"Why?"

"Just listen to me, okay? He's not a nice man."

"He gave me candy though!" Raphael shows us the candy and I take it from him. "Hey!"

"Raphael, did you eat any of this?"

"Not yet. My mummy always said dinner first then desert."

"Good boy. But, you cannot eat any of this okay?"

"Why?"

"That man is very bad. He may have done something to this."

"Oh, okay. I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault. Chloe," I look to her and see her staring into midair, "Chlo? Sweetheart?"

"Hm?"

"Are you okay?" She frowns but then puts on a smile, obviously fake.

"I'm fine, why do you ask?"

"We'll speak about this later." I tell her. "Can you throw this in the bin, please?"

"Yeah, sure." She goes and throws the candy in the bin, whilst I keep a sharp eye on her while holding Raph in front of me.

"What's so bad about him?" Raph asks, as we see Chloe walking back towards us.

"I can't tell you, you're too young right now."

"Did he kill someone?"

"I'll tell you when you're older."

"He did, didn't he?" I don't answer him. "Does that make me a bad person then?" He asks in a small voice.

"No, no. Definitely not you. You killed the guy by accident. This man killed them on purpose. You're not a bad person."

"Okay."

"Come on," Chloe says, "let's go home."
