Finding Love Again: Adrian's Story

Part 1: The Meeting

Adrian dressed for his job and walked into the room he and Regan had turned into a nursery for Devon, picking him up Adrian sung to him softly and kissed his forehead. As he swayed gently with his son in his arms he looked up at him and laughed, grabbing his lip with his small hand.

"Papa has to go to work now buddy, are you going to be a good for Regan and Damon tonight?" He asked with a soft laugh as Devon squealed and waved his arms over his head. He stood there holding his son when Damon walked in and folded his arms over his chest as he watched his brother and his adopted son. Adrian was slowly returning to what he was before Tucker abandoned him and Dev all those months ago. Even though he was returning to his old self he wasn't there yet, he still had times when he sat and stared out the window in silence.

"We'll take care of him Adrian, don't worry about that Brother, he'll be safe and sound when you get home tonight."Damon said taking Devon into his arms and bounces him as he watched his brother leave for work. Getting in his car Adrian drove to the bar and went inside, tying a half apron around his waist as he walked behind the bar. He was immediently slammed with drink orders and started making them, as he made the drinks he noticed a tall handsome dark haired man drinking a beer and watching him. He was very handsome, perfect features and dark brown eyes that were focused on him with interest.

The man sat there most of the night drinking beer and eating peanuts, when finally he got up and walked down to the end of the bar where Adrian was wiping the bar again

"Hello there handsome." He say lookng Adrian over and licks his lips with a smile on his face.

"Can I help you sir? Do you need another beer?" He asked the man sitting in front of him, laying his towel over his shoulder. The man shook his head as he flashed a charming smile at Adrian and rested his chin in his hand as he watched Adrian.

"No I just wanted to meet you, I've been watching you all night and I find you very....sexy." He said biting his lip with a soft hiss as he looked Adrian up and down. Adrian chuckled softly and shook his head as he cleared dirty glasses and empty bowls from the bar and looked back at the man to find him still staring at him.

"You're serious? He asked the stranger as he sat opposite him, circling the lip of the bottle with a finger, and shook his head with a smile on his lips.

"Very serious, would you like to get a bite to eat after your shift ends here?" He asked finishing his beer and looks at Adrian with a smile on his lips. Adrian looked at him and sighed, he was very handsome and made parts of him stir that hadn't stirred since Tucker had left him, but he couldn't. He was still in love with Tucker no matter how pathetic and weak that seemed it was the honest truth.

"Maybe another time hon, I just got out of a serious relationship and I'm not looking for another, not yet anyway." He said looking at the man with a shrug and a friendly smile as he continued with his work, "besides after work I've got to get home to my son." He said looking at the man knowing that the mention of a child would probably scare him off.

"We'll maybe another time then handsome, I'll see you around." He said getting up and reaches into his jacket and pulls out a card and handed it to Adrian and walked out of the bar. Once he was gone Adrian picked up the card and looked at it then at the door he'd gone through when he left.

"Grayson Thorne." He said slipping the card into his pocket with a smile, "We'll see if you're serious or just looking for a one night stand." He said picking up a bottle of whiskey and pours shots for a group of men at the bar.
