Part 9: The Proposal

"Adrian sat on the floor in Amelia's room coloring with her as Devon sat surrounded by his toys he playing with his blocks and trucks, Adrian had a few days off from the bar and was spending it was Grayson and the children. Sitting at the child's sized table coloring a kitten with a purple crayon Adrian hears the front door open as Grayson returned from picking up dinner for the four of them tonight, he'd been planning something special all day but wouldn't give Adrian the slightest hint as to what it was. Smiling at the Devon and Amelia he picked both of them up and hurried downstairs to welcome him home, putting Amelia on her feet she ran across the kitchen floor and threw her arms around her father's waist and hugged him tight.

"Daddy! You home!" She giggled as he scooped her up into his arms and kissed her little face then pulled Dev and Adrian into his arms and kissed them, nipping Adrian's lower lip suggestively before he let him go.

"I hope you guys are hungry because I've got plenty of food for everyone, Chinese for Daddy Adrian and I, Italian for Amelia and Dev." He said smiling at the three of them as the kids squealed happily as he took their spaghetti and alfredo from the takeout bags. Putting Dev and Amelia in their seats Adrian helped him dish out food for the kids then sitting at the table they served themselves dinner, the entire time Adrian could see Grayson was nervous, his hands shaking slightly as he at his dinner.

"Gray, baby are you ok? Your hands have been trembling ever since you got home." He said taking his hand in his and held it firmly in his as he watched his eyes. Leaning in Grayson kissed him and laid his forehead to Adrian's his lips brushing against his then liked at him and sighed softly, shaking his head.

"I'm fine love, it's just alot has happened today and it weighing on my mind, would you mind talking with me later." He asked picking up his water glass and sipped it slowly.

"Of course baby, I'm always here for you when you need me." Adrian said rubbing his arm slowly as Grayson smiled and returned his attention to his dinner, the shaking becoming less noticeable. When dinner was over Adrian cleaned up the dishes and when he came back to the dining room he found the lights had been shut off and the candles lit. Grayson stood in front of the table with Dev and Amelia at his side watching him as he stopped in the doorway, furrowing his brow he stepped into the dim room and looked at Grayson. Taking a deep breath as Grayson went down on his knee and looked up at Adrian and took his hand in his and kissed his hand gently.

"I love Adrian and from the moment I saw you I knew you were the one for me, I never want to be without you again so will you do me the honor of marrying me?" He asked taking a black band from his pocket with a small diamond in it. Tears sprang to Adrian's eyes and his hand covered his mouth as he shook his head, letting Grayson slide the ring on his finger and stood up taking him in his arms.

"I love Grayson, I love you so much." Adrian said against Grayson's ear as they clung to one another as the children cheered and laughter at their happiness.
