A/N: Art doesn't belong to me! All art credits goes to the artist Know-Kname on DeviantArt! So this is one of my favourite parts of Twilight Princess! Arbiter's Grounds! I swear it's like half-Indiana Jones and half-The Mummy and even a tad bit of Tomb Raider. Only a tad though. Anyways so this is gunna be in 3 parts. A 3 part chapter. Huzzah! Anyways music included! Enjoy! And obviously one of my most favourite tracks from Twilight Princess :})

There were torches lit and hieroglyphics were on the walls. Ancient Gerudo writing was everywhere too. Link grabbed one torch and lead the way. Meena walked beside him as she looked around. With that, they descended into Arbiter's Grounds facing many dangers and puzzles and monsters along the way...

When they reached the bottom of the staircase, there was just quicksand. A huge sea of it. Meena has heard about quicksand and has read about it. But she's never seen it or has been close to it like this in person.

She sighed. "Great! A huge sandy sea of death! Just what I always wanted for Christmas!" She said sarcastically. "Any ideas?!" Meena asked Link sounding aggravated and nervous.

(A/N: I don't know if in Zelda they celebrate Christmas or whatever. It's not even close to or is Christmas since it's Spring in the story but whatever! I would probably say that anyways. Sorry I'll just go now 😅)

Link looked at her. "Look over there." He said pointing over to a metal grating in the upper wall to their left above a platform. Meena was confused. "Oh good! A...metal... Thingumabob! How's that gunna help?" She said sarcastically with a serious question at the end.

Link stared at her. "What's with you?!" He asked. "What do you mean?! I'm just... Ugh! Moody! I'm just mad right now!" Meena said growling as she kicked a monster skull into the quicksand.

She crossed her arms with a gruff look on her face as she stood there watching the skull slowly sink. Her tail kept waving in the air behind her in a very furious manner. Link decided to see if he could try to calm her down. Or at least get her to stop being angry.

"Why are you mad?" He asked. Meena looked up at him. She sighed letting her arms drop and swing freely at her sides. She then looked back up at him. "Rin. It's Rin, alright?! I only saw him thrice! No, twice, and he has been gone for like 5 years now! He finally shows his face again, then just flat out leaves!" She said sounding angry then upset.

Link could tell Meena had a lot going on right now. He sighed. He then saw a tear trickling down Meena's cheek. Even though her face was just, blank. Link put the torch back up on an empty torch-holder on the wall.

(A/N: The thing that torches are in to hold them on the wall or something.)

He used his thumb to rub her tear away and had her face him again. He had sympathy in his eyes and he just hugged Meena. Meena blushed lightly but she hugged back. Midna and Victoria came out of their shadows seeing what was the holdup.

"You guys!" Midna said. Link and Meena jumped and looked over at her. "What?" Link asked. "We need to hurry! Unless you want twilight to take over Hyrule again and then spread out through the whole entire world! Throughout ALL of earth! The Light World!" Midna said scoldingly and annoyed.

Link and Meena were surprised by her outburst. "Sorry Midna! Sheesh..." Meena said. Midna sighed. "Look I know you have a lot going on right now but there's no time to just stand there and hug. Or do nothing. So let's hurry up and blow this popsicle stand!" Victoria said sounding anxious and like she wanted to hurry up.

Link and Meena just nodded. Midna and Victoria went back into their shadows. "Look, let me show you how that grappling spot can help." Link said. He pulled out a Clawshot. Meena eyed it.
