Chapter 10 : Fights.
____
"Wakey, wakey." I heard someone whisper. I wasn't sure if someone was actually there.
"Really, wake up, Zee." The same whisper again.
I turned to the other side without opening my eyes. I pulled my blanket up, and decided on focusing on my sleep rather than that voice. I still wasn't sure if it was a dream or really someone calling me out.
I don't want to lose my sleep over something I'm not sure of now, do I? But I could tell it was a guy.
"Gosh, this is harder than I thought," I heard the person whispering to himself. "Wake. Up!" It was a shout whisper now.
I opened one of my eye, slightest bit and saw a blurry image of Quentin. I closed it again, and snuggled up in my blanket.
Wait, what!
My eyes shot opened as I bit my lip, sitting upright.
"Here, sleeping beauty. It took you long enough."
"What are you doing here!" I yelled, my eyes wide, confused and scared as hell thinking about how horrible I must be looking at the moment.
"Well smartypants, I was waking you up. Not exactly rocket science."
I rolled my eyes. Way to start my day.
I looked at the clock, striking to 9. Well, fuck."It's nine!"
"Yes, and it's Sunday!" He said, letting out a relieved sigh. "I came here to use my phone, if that's what you're asking."
They didn't allow phones in the university.
"Oh," that summed up. "But at this hour? So early in the morning?"
"Early for you Zee, the birds are already out of their nests."
"I'm not a bird," I snorted.
"Aren't you? An owl? Wide awake at night and sleepy ass during the day."
"That's not true!" It was. Partially, anyway.
"Sure,"
"But it still is kind of early. You should have come in the evening or later for that matter."
"Oh my god, Zee. You don't ask your guests why they're at your home!"
"Well," I shrugged. "I would like you to leave now. Leave my room, at least."
"Why?" He pouted.
"Well smartypants, I want to get down and freshen up. That's what normal people do after waking up."
His hands slapped his mouth as he made a painfully surprised expression. "Ah! You're normal!?"
I rolled my eyes, "Shocker, right?"
"Totally!"
"Now will you please... leave?"
He wiped a fake tear from his eye and said, "If that's what you want, I guess I'll leave then."
"Thanks. Make it fast"
"Yeah. Anyway I have a football match, I just took a moment to say hi to you."
"Oh I see," I replied flatly.
"'Oh I see'? I wasted five goddamn minutes to wake you up, even though I have a football match waiting, cause I didn't want to leave without saying hi to you and 'Oh I see'?"
"I couldn't care less," I shrugged.
He placed his hand over his heart, looked down, shaking his head momentarily.
