Troubles Within Oneself

We were at Gym Gamma with everybody, except for me, wearing their costumes. The place was called 'Training Dining Land'. TDL for short. According to Cementoss, he created this buildings to create terrains and other things specifically for each student. That's what the word 'dining' refers to.

Tenya: "Please allow me to ask a question!" Was that a request or a demand? "Why must we have ultimate moves for our provisional licensing exam? Please tell me your reasoning!" I facepalmed and sighed. 

Aizawa: "L/n." I lowered my hand and looked at him. "Think of all the heroes that you know from your world and give a brief explanation of the reasoning." I looked at him more confused and a little irritated. 'Why is he putting me on the spotlight!?' I asked myself. Everybody turned to me. Now the pressure felt kind of intense.

I gave it a quick thought. All the heroes that I know of from Marvel and DC. Or any other tv shows and movies. Most of the time, they weren't just fighting the bad guys, but also saving lives. However, were they using ultimate moves? 

Y/n: "Being able to adapt." The words came out of my mouth without even thinking it.

Aizawa: "Explain."

Y/n: "Different scenarios leads to different choices. Using the same choice doesn't mean the result will be the same. Being able to adapt to the surroundings, come up with a plan on the spot, and using the right ultimate move will save the day." He nodded.

Aizawa: "Save the day. You're not just using your ultimate move to fight villains, but to also save lives from crimes, accidents, natural disasters, and man-made disasters. The exam to become one naturally looks at how well you are able to do that. In addition to your ability to communicate, draw people to you, and lead. Every year is a different test to look at how well you are able to do those things."

Midnight: "Of those, your ability to fight is especially important to your futures as heroes. If you are prepared, you won't have to worry. Whether or not you have an ultimate move will greatly affect whether or not you pass."

Cementoss: "Making choices on the spot, no matter the circumstances, will make you a great asset in the front lines."

Ectoplasm: "Your ultimate moves do not necessarily need to be of the attacking type. For example, take Iida's Reciproburst." I was 100% sure that it was Reciprocating Burst. "The temporary burst of speed is enough of a threat to be worth calling an ultimate move."

Aizawa: "And L/n's Breathing Style's Techniques. Using them without uttering a word is crucial in catching your enemies off guard." Okay. This is the third time he puts me in the spotlight. First one, didn't think any of it. Second time, might've been a coincidence. But the third time? Coincidence? I think NOT!? "The training camp was canceled, but the training you did to develop your Quirks was part of the process to create your ultimate moves. In other words," Cementoss created multiple rock platforms in the entire building while Ectoplasm created multiple of himself and spreading them on different platforms, "until the beginning of the next semester, for the ten days or so until the end of summer vacation, you'll be working out your ultimate moves as you develop your Quirks. You'll be doing intensive training! In addition, you should think about how you can improve your costumes to work better with your developing Quirks. Get through this with a 'Plus Ultra' mentality. Are you ready?" Everybody else got excited and shouted as one. Looking at Aizawa, I started to realize what he was trying to do. He doesn't have to.

Then, we all divided and went to an Ectoplasm. I chose the one at the far end. Away from everybody else. Knowing my quirk, it might hurt someone if I was not careful.

Ectoplasm: "I believe that you must develop your quirk." I nodded.

Y/n: "I figured that." I focused on my arms, created electricity with intense power, and shot it at him. Obviously, he dodged it. I leaned to one side, and quickly jumped to the opposite way while avoiding the lightning that struck where I was leaning to. Looking at Ectoplasm, I motioned to that place with my hands. "I almost keep getting struck by it." He lowered his head in thought. I looked up and saw the hole that the lightning created.
