It's been a year since the twins were born. I've honestly been in shock watching Ariel handle being a parent cause at one point this could've been a way different reality.

Today's actually Ariel and A.J's 21st birthday and they decided they just wanted a get together at the house so that's what Lani and I planned.

I've been sitting at the island in my thoughts cause this shit is crazy, In a good way. "What you thinking about old man?" Lani asks leaning on the island and looking at me.

"Just how much things have changed in the past year" I say. "Our kids have kids" I add laughing.

She smiles then frowns. "I know, I cried earlier today cause my babies are growing up on me" She says. "Amir keeps asking for Ariel and I keep telling his ass she's coming later" She adds.

As soon as she finishes that sentence,the twins walk in. They're 5 now and smart as fuck. "Daddy we want chicken nuggets and fries please" Ayden says climbing up on the barstool.

"No, I want pizza" Amir says doing the same. "We cleaned our room and made our beds" He adds. "Can I call Ariel now?" He asks looking at me.

I look at Lani and she laughs. "See" She says giving Amir her phone.

He presses Ariel's and she immediately answers. "Hey ma-Amir what I tell you bout being on my ass?" She says realizing it's not Lani.

"When you coming?" Amir asks.

Ariel looks at me then at him. "I told you yesterday we was coming around 3, what else I tell you?" She says then asks.

He rolls his eyes. "Not to keep asking when you're coming or else you not gone come" He says. "Can I stay the night with you?" He asks.

She shrugs. "I'll think about it" She says which normally means yeah. "Where yo twin at?" She asks.

Amir turns the phone to Ayden. "Hey Ariel" Ayden says waving. "I wanna stay with you too" He adds mean mugging Amir.

She shakes her head. "Ima see" She says.

Amir puts the camera back on him. "Where's yo twin at?" He asks.

Ariel shrugs. "Handling business, he gone be there before me" She says. "Ima see you when I get there, I love you" She adds making Amir smile.

"I love you too sissy" He says putting the camera on Ayden. "Tell her you love her" He adds.

Ayden tells Ariel he loves her and rolls his eyes at Amir. "You're so rude" Amir says rolling his next.

They talk a lil longer before hanging up and I get up. "I gotta get the grill set up, the pool ready and make sure we got towels" I say stretching.

Lani takes her phone and looks at me. "Ima get the boys dressed and meet your mom at the store" She says. "If you want something, send the list" She adds.

I say okay and peck her lips. "Be safe" I say before looking at the boys. "Act right or shit gone go left when yall get back" I add kissing their heads.

"Yes sir" They both say and I smile. I unlock my phone and go to Quan's name before pressing the phone icon.

"What fuck nigga?" He asks. "I just pulled up, my mom was late picking Talia up" He says.

I head towards the door and see his big ass Tahoe pulling around the driveway with the windows down. I open the door and hang up. "You driving, ion feel like pulling shit out the garage" I say locking the door and jogging down the steps.
