A Bug's Life: Part 4

"You mean, you're not warriors?" Atta asked.

The ant colony has recently found out that the 'warriors' Flik chose was actually circus bugs, and not, in fact, warriors.

"Are you kiddin'? These guys are the lousiest circus bugs you've ever seen..." said PT Flea, the ringmaster, "And they're gonna make me rich!" he added.

"You mean to tell me that our entire defensive strategy..." said one of the ants, "was concocted by clowns?"

"Hey, hey, hey, hey. We really thought Flik's idea was gonna work," Francis said.

The entire ant colony gasped.

"Oops..."

"Tell me this isn't true," said the Queen.

"No, you don't— You don't—" yelled Atta.

"This couldn't have happened at a more inopportune time!" yelled one ant. "The last leaf is about to fall!"

"We haven't collected any food for the grasshoppers!" yelled one ant.

"If Hopper finds out what we almost did—" Atta muttered.

"Hopper is not going to find out," yelled the Queen, "We're going to hide all this, and pretend it never happened. You bugs were never here. So I suggest you all leave."

"But the bird! The-The bird will work," Flik yelled.

"I never thought I'd see the day when an ant would put himself..." said one ant.

"...Before the rest of his colony," continued Atta.

"What?" Flik yelled.

"What are we going to do?" Rock whispered to Alle.

"Nothing... for now."

"The point is, Flik, you lied to us," yelled Atta.

"No, no, no! I-I—" Flik tried to reason.

"You lied, Flik. You lied to her," said the Queen.

"You lied to the colony! You lied to me!" Atta yelled. "And like an idiot, I believed you."

"But l-I was just afraid that..." Flik said, "If you knew I'd gotten circus bugs," he sighed. "I just wanted to make a difference."

"I want you to leave, Flik," yelled Atta, "And this time, don't come back."

Flik and the rest of the circus bugs began walking back to the tall grass. Flik looked back one last time but walked straight back to the path to the circus.

All this time, Alle and the Luxo Duos were staring at the situation in Al13, "What do we do now?" Rock asked.

"We fight..." May yelled, "As a team!"

"W-What?!"

May smirked, "I now understand... everything about this universe!"

"What do you mean?" Alle asked.

"The lesson, Anybody can defeat bullies, when they have the time, courage and, of course, teamwork."

"I believe that is correct. No single ant could beat Hopper and his grasshoppers. Flik tried to stand up to them at first, but he was alone, and he lost. By rallying the ants and enlisting the help of the Circus Bugs, Flik and the other ants were able to create a plan, trick the grasshoppers, and defeat them."

"But they haven't yet..." Rock said.

"Spoilers, I guess..."

"Then, let's go back home!" May yelled.

Alle held both their elbows and yelled, "A11-Aaahhh!!!"

Suddenly, a bird came out of nowhere. No, not a bird made of leaves, a real bird, a bird that eats bugs.

As opportunity strikes it, the bird captured Alle into its beak. "What the-?!" yelled Rock.

"What are we going to do?!" May asked.

"We don't have time..." Atta yelled, "We must continue on with the food offering."

"Princess Atta?" Rock asked.

But then, the princess was out of sight. "What was that?" May asked.

"We'll get your friend back!" yelled a voice from behind. The duo turned around and saw Dot, smiling and cheering. "Well?"

A/N: Well, that was a twist, wasn't it? I was honestly going to end it off here. But then... a new idea came up and the bird was called in for the role. Please vote and comment! xD KuyaKepzTeops16, peaze out!
