"Hey." Luke said as he walked into my room. I paused my game and looked up at him. "We're going out with the guys."
"Ok." I said with a shrug.
"As a family." He said slowly. I sighed and got up, turning everything off. "I guess you can bring Josh if you want."
"Do you not like that we're kind of... Dating I guess?" I asked him.
"What? Of course I'm happy about it why?" He asked. I shrugged again and he sat on my bed, looking up at me.
"You just don't seem to like it very much." I said. He smiled up at me and laced his fingers together, setting them on his lap.
"You're my son. Of course I don't like that you're dating." He said. I snorted and rolled my eyes. "And I realize that you're a boy and it shouldn't matter, but you're my only child so I care a little more than I should."
"How old were you and dad when you started dating?" I asked him.
"17 and 18." He said with a smile. "Well I mean, I was almost 18 so..."
"I'm as old as you were." I said with a laugh.
"I know. But it was different with me and Michael." He said. I sat down next to him and furrowed my eyebrows.
"How?" I asked. He sighed again.
"Well, when you are in as big of a band as we were and you came out as gay... How do I put this? Me and Michael wanted to make sure that we would be together, that we would end up together, before we came out."
"I still don't understand." I said.
"I wasn't going to come out as gay and tell the whole world that I was dating my band mate if I wasn't sure that at some point in my life I knew I would marry him." He said, looking over at me. "Things weren't as easy for me and Michael when we were you guys' age as it is for you. We had to get approval to come out, and that took a year to get. And even after we came out, we still had to be cautious of how we acted in public. There was a video of us talking that surfaced and we got our asses chewed about what we say to each other in public."
"It got taken down though." We heard and looked towards the doorway to where Michael was standing. "Us and the boys were disappointed in the girl who put it up, we made that clear, we got our asses chewed, the video got taken down."
"What was on the video?"
"We were just talking." Luke said. "That was literally the video. It wasn't the fact that we were talking, it was what we were talking about. About how we felt towards each other. We were disappointed because if it were any 'normal' couple, there wouldn't have been a video."
"I see." I said. I stood up and took off my shirt, throwing it on the floor. "What do I need to where?"
"Nicer than what you would where to J. Alexander's in the states." Michael said, sitting next to Luke.
"So I have to wear a fucking suit?" I asked. Michael snorted.
"No, but a nice shirt and pants will suffice." Luke said with a laugh.

"Did you tell him first?" Michael asked. I unbuckled my seat belt and smiled.
"Nope." I said as I got out of the car. I heard them both laughing as I made my way to his window. "Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Let down thy weave!" I yelled, hearing them laugh harder. Josh's head popped out the window and he glared down at me.
"You ain't no fucking prince!" He yelled, making me laugh. I looked over at my parents and saw them watching and laughing as well.
"No but I am buying you dinner!" I yelled up at him.
"You didn't think to call and tell me about this first?! I'm in boxers!" He yelled.
"Nope!"
"You asshole!" He yelled. "Let me get dressed!" I walked back to the car and got in, buckling back up. He ran out the front door wearing black skinny jeans and a blue button up, carrying his socks and shoes in hand. He jumped in the car and smiled at us. "Where are we headed?"
