Chapter 15:

Black! It was all black and pain evident on my body. What happened? What did they do to me? Oh my god, am I dead or something? I think I should wait on my fairy-godmother, or should I? I tried to open my eyes, as I did, a strong urge of light fell on them and my eyes shut close again. I couldn't see but I wanted to stand up from the sleeping posture. I tried to stand up but then I slipped off something and fell on what felt like floor. Groaning, I sat up and opened my eyes. I looked around just to find myself locked inside a room filled with boxes and a comfortable looking bed. I think I was drugged and I fell asleep. But then my thoughts went back to my clinic and "Oh my god"- I yelled a scary and agony filled scream. I rushed to the door and banged on it with all my might.

"Open the damn door" I banged and banged until it flew open on my nose and I fell backwards on my side.

"Stop yelling woman" the man said, he was dressed in an expensive suit and his face was covered with a mask. He looked very scary and moments like these made me regret the decision of denying myself the self defence training Rohan wanted me to have.

"Where is my son?" I chocked on the last part. The man sighed and looked behind him.

"Your son is safe. Don't worry about him" He mumbles.

"I want him here, with me" I stood up and run past him and outside. I saw the sight of a hallway and ran down to the door. I pulled it open and with great happiness I ran towards my baby- who was asleep on a mush of stuffed toys. He must have fallen asleep while playing. I picked up Joy and kissed his head and whispered sweet nothings to him. He contently sighed and snuggled into me. Sighing with relief, I decided to run away from all this, but I wish it was that easy. As soon as I stepped foot backwards, the door I came in through clamped shut and three bulky men stood directly in front of me. In minutes I was held by two hands and joy was being forcefully pulled away from me- which I successfully didn't let happen. His cries filled the room and my yells didn't even seem like mine. But they all died down when heavy footsteps filled the room.

"Let the poor woman be, people" he snarled, his voice was thick and it was filled with murderous anguish. When he came into my sight my breath stopped. He walked and walked until he was at a forearm distance away from me.

"Hello sweetheart" he caresses my cheek "Lieutenant certainly had a great choice" he mumbled. My eyes widened at the mention of the army. Questions flooded my mind and my hold on little Joy tightened.

"Is that... his?" the man asked wide eyed "The Lieutenant had a kid?" I didn't speak only stared. He looked at Joy and back at me. I merely stared at him, confusion flooding through my brain.

"I am sorry miss, I wasn't aware of the child" surprisingly his voice was soft and apologetic. I didn't understand a thing. He knew Rohan and he didn't know about Joy. Off course it was news to everyone and it was after Rohan was already gone.

"Did he even know?" he asked and this time I shook my head. He blinked several times. Several minutes passed by and he turned around. I swear I saw him wipe his eyes off tears.

"He was a great fighter, you must know" I nodded. He pulled out his phone and dialled a number followed by some chat in an unknown accent, totally bizarre and different, not a good different at all. He came back and stood by the seat and that is when a man came in, his posture spoke of power and danger. His unpleasant attire made me uncomfortable. I took a step back cradling Joy in my arms. He ordered everyone to walk out and only the man in suit stayed.
