My shift was about to be over, and It was supposed to be my last night on the job... But I'd find a way to help them either way.

My cellphone rang, and it was the Mike.

"Hey, I know you're probably a walking zombie at the moment, but I just wanted to ask you... Would you like to be the security guard as a full-time job? You're the only person who has surviv- Erm... Been patient enough... For this job... And well, the boss wanted to make you the security guard permanently."

I smile. "Yes." I simply reply, and hang up.

"I'll be back in a day...." I look at them and try to reassure them. "I promise..... Things may not make sense right now, guys. But I'll help y'all... I'll get you out of here."

I turn towards Foxy, and gesture for him to follow me, and walk out towards the exit.

"Listen... I need you to figure out as much as possible... Because right now, I need to know why you guys are trapped here, and what's keeping you from moving on.... Because... It doesn't make sense. When you die, you're supposed to... I dunno... Go to heaven or some shit.... But you guys are stuck here, and it has to be something to do with that purple asshole."

Foxy laughs, though I see the panic in his eyes.

"I'm sorry...." I take his hands into mine, and kiss he backs of them. "I promise... I promise I'll get you out of here."

I left the pizzeria with a tight feeling in my chest. How was I going to spend the day off when all I could think about was them...

I scooted into my car seat. I was reluctant to leave, so I procrastinated the only way I knew how, and pulled out my cellphone. I dialed Mike's number and held it up to my ear.

He answered hurriedly and was out of breath.

"Hello?" He answered on the other end of the line.

"Hey, Mike." I sigh, leaning back in my seat and staring at the building.

"Uh, hi! Did you, uh, need anything?" He asked. I could hear the smile on his face.

"Hm. I really guess I just wanted to talk about the full time job." I smile shifting my eyes to the steering wheel.

"Oh? That's good. I'm glad we can be working together longer, you know, he haven't been seeing each other a lot lately. I definitely feel that we should be... Considering we're, you know..." Mike spoke nervously on the other end.

I let out a half-assed laugh. Honestly, I did really like Mike, but I couldn't see myself being romantic with him at times like this, but I could never bring myself to break up with him at the moment.

"Oh, yeah. I have tomorrow off, you know." I say quietly.

"Do you wanna do something?" He asked.

"Maybe we can hang around together. I do have to grab some new clothes though, so you can come with me shopping too." I say, a weak smile crossing my face.

"Sounds good to me!" Mike laughs. "Look, I have to head to work, I'll talk to you later."

"Bye." I say, hanging up before he could say it back. I really needed to learn to be more commutative.

The time came for me to leave, and I finally did. My first paycheck had also been deposited into my bank account, so I was excited to go shopping.

I drove home and immediately started the bath. I'd normally go to bed first, but I was feeling awake. It felt good that I was actually doing something about the whole work situation, and knowing that I have a stable job now? Made me even more excited.
