ilent breathing filled the dark room with life as the clock on the nightstand read 4.00am in the morning. Mina was currently in a deep slumber, wandering through wonderland since a few hours now. That was until her phone started ringing, the sound echoing in her ears as she pulled the covers over her head, groaning in annoyance. She blindly searched for her phone on her bed, knowing she must have fallen asleep while texting with her boyfriend a few hours ago.
Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, her heartbeat quickened as she read Hoseoks name on her bright phone screen, fear waking her up a lot faster now. Why would he call at a time like this? Mina's index finger slid over the screen before she placed the phone against her ear, nervously biting her lip.
"Hoseok, are you alright? Did something -"
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR MINA, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUU~" Hoseok and his other six band members sing sang into the phone louder than ever, making her almost go deaf as she got startled and rolled onto her back while clutching her chest.
"Oh my god, never do that again! Thank you guys" she giggled sleepily into the phone.
"Ah Jagiya, I'm sorry for waking you up. You probably slept already, huh?" Hoseok distanced himself from the 6 boys who were watching him with amusement.
"It's fine," she smiled, "Are you still practicing?" he knew how worried she must have been sometimes but he just shook his head until he realized Mina couldn't see him through the phone.
"Nah, we just got to the dorm. We're all pretty worn out," Hoseok yawned and ran a hand over his tired face, eyes dancing over the clock on the wall as a sigh escaped his lips.
"Hobi, you shouldn't practice that long. You shouldn't even call me at a time like this when you're probably really exhausted, you should go to bed instead" she took a glance at the clock as well while she reminded him that sleep was important too. "You guys are already doing so good. No need to stay up all night!"
"Jagiya, you're way too nice and too easy on us ~" she could feel his smile through the phone, a smile was tugging at the corner of her lips as well. "Besides I wanted to be the first one to say happy birthday to my beautiful girlfriend" a few rustle sounds could be heard on the other end of the line, probably the sheets and pillow he throw himself into just in that moment.
"You're not mad at me right?" Hoseok pouted and a sigh escaped Minas lips as she rolled onto her side.
"I could never be mad at you when you're being so cute" she murmured and heard Hoseoks beautiful laugh on the other end of the line.
A comfortable silence overcame them as they both just listened to the other ones steady breathe, that was until Hoseok broke the silence again; "You're free for the day, right?"
Mina sighed and shook her head, "Unfortunately I've to go to classes, " she started and already could hear Hoseok heaving a loud sigh. "But I'm free after that. Probably at like 3pm?" The breath that Hoseok was holding in finally escaped as a smile graced his lips.
"I'll pick you up from class then"
"Yeah" she smiled at his offer and rolled back onto her back, staring up at the ceiling.
"And everyone will see your handsome boyfriend ~" Mina could practically feel Hoseok smirk so wide as he tried to keep in his giggles.
"You're unbelievable" she giggled, "I'm going to sleep, I love you~".
"Wait, are you saying I'm not-" and before Hoseok could end his sentence, she hung up and giggled at her childish boyfriend.
When Mina was about to put her phone under her pillow, she received a message from Hoseok.
