Chapter 21 - Almost There

"Oh... my... god" panted.

"I know" Blake started breathing heavily.

"Okay thank god I got three ovens. It will really help" he panted.

"Yeah, I've never cracked that many eggs in my life"

"There's always a first to everything"

"So umm.. I'm just going to put the cake in the oven" I mentioned.

He took some of the batter and put it in the other oven next to me.

I was so tired that I sat on one of the stools.

"Now we have to wait" Blake sighed.

It was an awkward wait so I decided to go on my phone and browse on nothing. I just don't want to talk.

"Gabi"

"Mhm" I kept looking at my phone.

"Gabi"

"Yeah?" I made eye contact for like a second and looked back on my phone.

"Gabriella!" He took my phone.

"Blake hand it back-"

"It's annoying" he put my phone in his pocket.

Douche.

"What?" I snapped.

"You're so uncomfortable" he rolled his eyes.

"It's not like it's not normal to be uncomfortable around you"

"Not to mention soo freaking shy" he muttered.

"I know-"

"Just relax, I'm not going to kill you" he glared.

His emotions are back again. Wait, he doesn't have any.

"Fine, I'll try" I muttered.

"Try? You will" he tensed the 'will'.

"Blake?"

"Mhm?"

I pinched him.

"Ow! What was that for?" He snapped as he was rubbing his arm.

"Nothing. Just checking if you have any feelings" I said flatly and smiled.

"Bitch" he mumbled

"Heard that" I smirked.

"I care less"

"Seriously, hand me my phone"

"No"

"Blake I will snatch it" I warned.

"I dare you"

My phone was in his back pocket so I tried to reach for it.

"You're not going to get it hun" he held my shoulders as I was trying to reach for it.

"Just- l-let g-go!" I pushed and his hands slipped. This is the worst position I could imagine right now.

I'm hugging him. Great.

"Are we hugging?" Blake raises an eyebrow.

"I don't know?"

"Okay let's stop"

We baked 6 layers of cake and we started designing it. I couldn't help but doze off from time to time till I completely can't handle it that I had to rest my head on the kitchen table.
