Payton's POV
Beep, Beep, Beep!!! uggg.....
I slowly got up and smacked my alarm clock really 6:00 already I trudged over to my mirror and brushed through my knotty,dark brown hair. I soon realized that brushing it just made it look worse so I decided to take a shower. After I turned on the shower I picked out some clothes and grabbed my stuff for the shower. As I stepped in the shower I started to smell the sweet smell of my strawberry body wash.
"PAYTON HURRY UP YOU WILL BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!" screamed my annoying older brother James.
I just ignored him and finished showering. After I got out, I put on a decent amount of make up, a pair a blue jean shorts , and a dark blue plaid shirt. I started to walk out of my room when my feet hit the cold hard wood floor and realized I needed to put on shoes. So I put on my light purple converse and headed down to the kitchen to eat some cereal.
"Hurry up short stuff were going to be late!" he yelled
"But I have to ea- he cut me off by throwing an old pop tart at me
"here" he stated, "now get in the car I really don't want to be late again today"
I really felt like throwing it back at him but he was already pushing me out of the door and that was all I had to eat. I groaned as I stepped into his black mustang and he started complaining how I take forever to get ready. After a while I just started to daydream.
Everything was silent until I felt him tapping my shoulder and telling me I was here. Great back to the place I spend 7 hours in boredom. As I stepped out of the car I heard a girly voice yelling my name. It was my best friend Riley. I watched her blonde hair sway as she ran towards me until she ran into me embracing me in a bone crushing hug. Normally I would have winced but this was a daily thing.
"Guess what!" she shrieked as my brother drove away rolling his eyes
"What???" I questioned
"You know how you have always wanted to go to London once we graduate??" she practically yelled as she was shaking my shoulders
"Yea why?" I asked slowly
"Well the principal in sending a few of the smartest students to go study there after we graduate and I signed you up!!" she shrieked
"OMG!!!" I screamed "You are amazing!"
"Thank you, thank you" she said as she was bowing
We started laughing until we realized that we were getting looks from everyone outside the school. I started to feel blood rising in my cheeks so I grabbed Riley and ran into the school. We started talking like we usually do and headed to our first class.
Unfortunately we weren't taking the same classes so after we said our good byes we headed different ways. As I stepped into my first class I saw that the teacher wasn't in the room. Great I thought as I walked to my usual seat.
"Well, well, well what do we have here?" stated the one girl I absolutely hated. Maddy Andrews
"What do you want." I said harshly
"What I want from you, little Payton Rayne?" she said innocently
"Whatever" I said bluntly.
"What was that?" she said harshly
Before I knew it there was a hand flying at me. I quickly dodged it and started to sprint out of the class room trying to avoid a fight against a girl two times my size.
"Come back here!" she started screaming
I didn't stop. As I was running I started to feel tears brimming in my eyes but as I saw the exit of the school I felt a wave a relief rush through my little body. I started to run faster knowing the exit was just in front of me. Then I started to hear Maddy's foot falls coming closer.
But before she could get close enough I shut the door in her face and ran to the softball field were she couldn't find me. Once I made it to the field memories started to flood back from my softball years. But I had to shake them away so I could call my brother. So I slid my phone out of my back pocket and dialed the number.
