Chapter 2- What happened?

Riley's POV

OMG! I thought to myself as I was reading the sign up list to London posted on the school bulletin. Payton has been waiting for what seemed like a life time for a trip like this. Knowing my best friend I knew she would sign up and the spots were filling up so I quickly signed her name.

Then out of the corner of my eye I saw a familiar black mustang and quicly recoginzed her brother James car. I saw her step out of the car looking tired so I ran to her hoping my good news would wake her up. As I was running I embraced her in a hug and quickly told her the news.

The look on her face was priceless. After telling her we went inside and started walking to our boring classes. Once we said our good byes I made my way to my class. When I stepped inside I noticed the teacher wasn't in the best mood so I made my way to my seat quietly.

All the sudden we heard screaming which sounded like the queen bee of the school, Maddy Andrews. Then I saw two blurs run past the class room. Then it hit me. My best friend was being chased by the, Maddy Andrews. oh heck no

After I saw them running I made an excuse to the teacher to go help Payton as fast as I could. When I was out of the classroom I started to run in the direction they were heading. Then I heard the loud noise of the door being shut and a mad Maddy. Once I saw her coming back I hide behind trash can because lets face it, she is a lot bigger than me.After the coast was clear I ran towards the exit and ran for the softball field were I figured she would be.

Payton't POV

After a few rings he finally picked up his phone even though he probably already made it to work at Starbucks.

"Hello" he said angrily

"Can you please come get me" I said between sobs

"What's wrong? What happened? Are you hurt?" he said worriedly

"Just the normal Maddy stuff, please come" I said pleadingly

"Alright where are you?" he asked

After telling him where I was and begging him not to tell mom I decided to wait in the bleachers. Once I made my way to the top of the bleachers I heard some one running towards me. I started to panic and prayed is wasn't Maddy so I turned around spotted Riley. I silently thanked God and ran to her. She greeted me with a hug and asked me what happened. As I was half way done explaining I heard my brothers car.

"You ready?" James asked

"Yea." saying between sniffles

I quickly said bye to Riley and jumped into the car. Once I was in the car he started asking questions. That's when I lost it.

"Hey, hey, hey come here." he said bringing me into a hug

He started rubbing my back and telling me how it was going to be alright like he always did when he tried to calm me down. After a while I started to stop crying and sat back into my seat. Once I sat back down I looked in the mirror only to wish I didn't.

My eyes wear puffy and red and my cheeks were stained with tears. So I shut the mirror and laid my head on the window. Feeling bored I reached over to turn on the radio. Once I turned it on it started playing little things by One Direction. I layed my head back down and started to whisper the lyrics. Then I felt my eyes get heavy and I was soon asleep.

I walked into the classroom and immediately spotted Maddy. Once she saw me she started to chase me into the hallway. Screaming I tried to run as fast as I could but it wasn't fast enough. I felt her grab the back of my shirt and I let out a shriek. She then turned me around and started punching me over and over. I bent over now spiting blood and she knocked me over. I was hoping she was done but she started to come back and she pulled her foot back and---

"Help!!" I gasped

"What's wrong??" James said worriedly

"Sorry it was just a dream" I sighed

I felt of my forehead and it was covered in sweat. I haven't had a night mare like that in years....

"Were here" he said quietly

"ok" I said barely over a whisper and stepped out of the car

I watched his car slowly drive away wishing he would stay with me. Once I couldn't see his car anymore I walked to my front door. I stepped inside and realized that my mom wouldn't be home until late tonight because she was working late so I ran up the steps to my room.

I stripped off my clothes and put on some PJ's. Then I pulled my hair into a messy bun grabbed my laptop and plopped onto my bed and checked my face book. After reading through my news feed something caught my eye. "Looks like someone ran out on me.See you soon."-Maddy

I felt my heart drop. I picked up my phone and immediately called Riley.

"Hello."

"Did you see what Maddy posted on Face book??? I am literally going to die now." I said worriedly

"Don't worry about it. Just remember tomorrow we get to see who goes to London!" She said excitedly

"Ok,ok well bye!" I said

"Bye!" She said before she hung up

After I hung up I still couldn't help but feel worried about tomorrow.And it was kinda weird how Riley didn't talk that long. Usually she would talk for hours.As I sat and worried about tomorrow I decided just to go to sleep. So I put my lap top away and slipped into bed and before I knew it I was out cold.
