Chapter 3: Races of Chaos

I am Mike Cole. I was diagnosed with brain tumor and had only 3 months to live. One night there was an earthquake and I fell inside a fissure. When I woke up I was in a different world. The moment I was summoned I was thrown out because of my weak body. A fairy found me just before I die. She fed me with [hero's flesh] and I gained an immortal body. The fairy named Aria became my familiar. I left my name and my past and now live as Loran Newheart.

I am now currently taking lessons about Chaos world from Fairy Overlord Ordeus inside the castle ruin in the Forgotten Forest.

"Alright, in Chaos there are 17 races."

Right now we are talking about the different races in Chaos. There were 16 races before but now it has become 17 thanks to Overlord Ohm.

"The most powerful race as of now is the Heaven race. They are people that has wings and currently lives on the Sky Continent. There are many tribes that belongs to this race like the Kerubin tribe. The Kerubin tribe stands as royalty in the sky continent. They are people that has large wings on their backs and a halo of light. They are the only tribe of the Heaven race that has dual affinity of wind and light magic. Overlord Treia came from this tribe.

Next in rank is the Demon Race. They live on the western part of Chaos called the Dark continent. Same as the Heaven race, they also have many tribes. The prominent tribe is the Satana tribe. They are humanoid with two horns on their foreheads and giant bat wings on their backs. Like the Kerubin tribe they also possess dual affinity magic of fire and darkness. Overlord Kaazam came from Satana.

Third in rank is the Human race. Likewise, they have many tribes. Humans are largely distributed in many continents of Chaos. They are the race that has erected many kingdoms all throughout Chaos. The largest human empire is Lorbec Empire. It is currently led by Emperor Cristo Lorbec XIII. Humans are the most balanced in terms of magic. Unlike the other races that has only one or two magic affinities, humans have affinities of all elements depending on their compatibility. 6 of the 16 Overlords came from the Human race including Overlord Summoner Argus.

The other races are the Dwarven, Elven, Waterbeast, Beast, Dragonoid, Automaton, Giant, Orc, Firebeast, Berserker, Phantasma, Rockbeast, Hobbit and lastly the mythical race of High Human."

I was amazed. There were many races in Chaos but I was most interested of the mythical High Human Race. Ordeus said that this race is rarely seen and that no one knows where they are. The only time they appeared was at the time of the Solaiman anomaly. It was then proven that High Human race existed. Ordeus also said that it was suspected that Solaiman was one of the High Humans who got corrupted.

In the afternoon he dragged me into a stone room. There lies a huge crystal ball. It is a magic item used for appraisal and identification. He told me to put my hands on it. The crystal ball shone a bright red light and it showed letters. I couldn't understand it, so Ordeus read it for me. The contents were:

Unknown race? Am I not human anymore? And what's with the [-----] on my affinity? What's that mean? My address is understandable to be unknown, I was from another world. I've got no magic. Well at least I gained cool abilities. I have the strength of a giant, fast reflexes and fast recovery. I am not clear about godly perception and mana manipulation. My rank is greenhorn.
