<< Captain of the guards' Point of View >>

It was a week ago when we received a message from [Blue Rose Town]. It seems that the plague has reached it. [Blu Rose town] is 7 days away from here. Its highly likely that the plague would spread to here.

"Haa~ so much work." I can do nothing but sigh. All we can do now is be strict of the people getting in town.

"Captain!" One of the gate guards came calling.

"What's the matter?"

"Someone came without a pass card. He seemed suspicious. What should we do to him?"

No pass card? I immediately went to the gates. When I arrived, I saw the person in question. He was tall, black hair, black eyes, and wearing a traveler's clothes.

"Are you the person who had no pass card?" He looked at me directly.

"Yes."

I told him to come  with me to the guards house. He obediently followed. The guards house near the gates is a  2-storey building.

I sat down on my seat.

"Take a seat." He sat down in front of my table.

The report said that this person came from the forest, so I asked him to confirm it.

"You say you came from the forest?" He confirmed it by a nod.

"Which forest that might be?"

I observed his expressions. He seemed reluctant to say it but he did so. I was slightly surprised when I heard the name of the  forest.

"I came from the Forgotten Forest."

I did not think someone have lived in that forsaken forest. However, it was recorded before that a certain tribe lives nearby that forest.

"I see. Are you from [Drumbeat Tribe]?"

Drumbeat tribesmen are muscular people. Even their women and children are born muscular. I doubt this person is one of them but I asked him anyway.

"I am not."

I  thought so.

"Then which tribe are you from?"

He didn't answer. This guy is very suspicious. I should just detain him.

"If your not gonna tell me, then you'll be spending your night in jail."

Still no response from him. Well, I've got no choice but to put him to jail.

<< Loran's Point of View >>

That guy seemed to be their captain. Right now, one of the guards is taking me to their prison.

"Excuse me, do I have the right to call a lawyer?"

There may be a lawyer in this place, right?

"Lawyer? What is that?"

"??"

No lawyer. What should I do now?

Any ideas Aria?

"Hmm~ if you like we can use my [dimension door] to get out of here.]"

Oh? You can do that? That's great, but won't it cause more trouble? Let's just wait for what to happen.

"Yes, master."

This prison cell is far from what I expect, its clean. No dust. No cobwebs. Although there is just this wooden bed. But nonetheless this is quite a comfortable cell.

What's the name of this town again, Aria?

"Master, its name is Leafret Town."

They're unexpectedly tidy even for this mere prison cell. While I was praising the prison cell, I heard the guards talking outside.

"Man, did you hear the news?"

"What is it?"

"The plague has reach our town. Many children are being carried to the infirmary as we speak."

"Wha-what? Really? I heard that illness has no known cure just yet."

"Yeah. I heard the town's best healers are frolicking about trying to cure the sick ones."

The illness has already reach here. That's unfortunate. What kind of sickness is it, I wonder?

Aria, can you go out for me and see what kind of illness is going around this town?

"Sure. Master, I'll go immediately."

Be sure not to be seen.

Aria came out from the back of my hand like a sprouting flower then flew out from the window. Its better to know about that illness for prevention. I don't want to suddenly get sick. Although, I have doubts about getting since I have an immortal body. Well, better prepared.

I got a lot of free time in my hands for now, I decided to train my earth magic. Although I say I use magic and its categorized as such  I am really just manipulating the flow of mana and imagining the structure.

Ordeus said I can do it, and only I can do it. He said normal magic needs incantations but I just need to imagine the structure. Like the fire pillar. I just had to make fire then think of it as a pillar and it will follow my will, thus came the fire pillar magic. He said my magic is very close to creation magic.

Anyway, I practiced making the flow of mana on the ground follow my will.

<< Aria's Point of View >>

This is the first task given by master. I have to do it perfectly. I flew from corner to corner, hiding behind the shadows. Master said not to be seen.

I wonder where the infirmary is?

"OUT OF THE WAY!!"

Someone shouted. What could it be?

"Clear the road."

What are these people doing? Then I heard the murmurs of the people on the streets.

"I heard the duke's son has caught the disease."

"Really? Oh my, what will happen to our town's children?"

The duke's son has this illness too?

I followed the carriage to the duke's mansion.

<< Loran's Point of View >>

I manage to raise earth mound to 3 inches, so now I could raise it to 8 inches, although I pictured a chair but I always get a mound. I guess its impossible to make tools out of Earth magic? No, nothings impossible. I'll be able to do it someday.

"Master, I'm back."

Oh, how is it?

"Master, I've completed the task you gave me~pyon~"

Yes, you did very well. Now tell me about the illness.

"Pyon~Its something I have never seen before, master. There was no physical deformations or damage to all infected. Also, they had fever and looked very pale. It was like they are slowly going out of energy ~pyon~"

I hoped that some sickness in this world would resemble my world's but I don't have a clue about what is it. I should see it by myself. But first I have to get out of here.

Alright. You did well, Aria. Rest for now.

"Yes~pyonpyon~"

How should I get out of here? Ah, I know! Alright, I'll try it tomorrow.
