Chapter 4: Leaving the Forest

I spent a year learning about Chaos in the Forgotten Forest Castle ruin. Ordeus said that a normal human would have taken decades to learn many things about Chaos but with my godly perception I made it with only a year.

My magic hasn't improved much, I am still advance rank in fire, wind, lightning, and light magic. While Aria was already at King rank. It's understandable, she outlived me for over 300 years.

"Well, I guess it's time we go now. Don't you think, Aria?"

"Pyon~[Yeah]"

Learning about the different continents of Chaos, I decided to venture and have a tour around the world. I want to learn more about my new world. We packed everything we needed on our journey and stored it in Aria's [dimension door].

"Overlord Ordeus, thank you for everything."

"My Lord, thank you!"

"Yes, yes. Now, you two should be careful on your journey. Even though you are an Advance and King rank, you still lack battle experience. Protect each other and if anything happens I'll be here...probably."

"Hey~I'll find a way to anchor you to this world. So, even if I completely consume the [hero's flesh] you would still be able to exist here. Just wait for a while longer."

"Right! I'll help out as well!"

Ordeus' connection to this world is Ohm's body and if I completely consume him, Ordeus will disappear. So, one of my goal for this journey is to find a way to have a medium for Ordeus. It would take a while longer so I have to minimize the consumption of the [hero's flesh].

He told me to consume it daily or I would have my body explode from over absorption of mana. Because I was not properly summoned, Chaos has not completely accepted me. So to say, the world is trying to consume me and then eject me from this world. But with my immortal body, the mana absorbed are being stored for me to use thus my ability mana manipulation.

I only understood it half a year ago. A month ago, I tried minimizing the consumption of the [hero's flesh] to once a week. My body would gradually weaken but it's manageable.

"Right, where should we head off?"

"How about to the east?"

"Hm~to the east, we'll find Uruben continent [Beast race's place]. Alright, to the east we go."

Aria sat on my shoulder while we walk in the Forgotten forest. Like the first time we walk to the castle ruin, it was deadly silent.

"Hey, Aria, why didn't we encounter any animals here?"

"Oh, that is because Lord Ordeus' aura protects this forest. No animals or monsters can withstand his pressure. Even other races can't easily go inside this forest."

"Oh, hence the name Forgotten Forest?"

She nods. "But near the exit, there will be monsters. Not to worry, monsters there are weak, we can handle them."

I didn't personally see the extent of Ordeus' power but if he can prevent monsters and other races from entering the forest and locating the castle ruins then he's very powerful indeed.

Nearing the exit, we heard rustles from the bushes.

"Oh?"

Five monsters came out. From the books I've read in the castle ruin, these monsters appeared to be [Blood Rabbits]. They are rabbit shaped but as large as a wolf. Their fur is white but has a thick blood-red streamline covering their whole body. It would make them look like they are covered in blood.
