Kypress had finished her small meal of scraps and bones. She laid down and took a nap. When Kypress woke up it was almost dark and a herd of mammoths grazed ahead. Kypress yawned. Something made Kypress stop. A faint meow sounded from the forest. 'What??' She thought as she looked back. If she went to investigate, she might be caught. If she didn't, she might not be able to help the thing struggling. Kypress closed her eyes and thought of her dead brother, Karden. 'Meaaaaoooowwww!!!!!!' He had cried as he had fallen to his death. Kypress stepped into the forest. She ran in the direction of the meow. A small Sabertooth cub was struggling to get out of a human trap. "Humans" Kypress whispered under her breath. Her wild, yellow eyes searched the trap. "Hey! Help!" The trapped cub yelped. Kypress raked the sticks apart with her powerful claw and gripped the cub's neck scruff in her jaws. It was SwiftTribe's cub. She knew it by the smell. "Take me back to camp!" The cub complained. 'I know cub!!! That's what I'm doing!' Kypress thought. This cub was so ungrateful! She just saved it from the stupid humans! Kypress dropped the cub by the camp and patted it's small, orange head. The cub looked up at her with bright blue eyes and ran off. Kypress watched from afar as the cub entered the main clearing, which was all rocks. "Vice!! There you are! We have been looking for you! Get back in the den right now! Never run off again!" A pretty Sabertooth said to Vice, she looked like his mother. "How did you get back?" She asked. 'No!' Kypress screamed in her mind. If Vice told his mom about her, they would definitely send out a search party. She was content with her life. "A nice female brought me back, she freed me from a trap." Vice said happily. Kypress had to stop herself from growling. Kypress ran. She felt the wind rush over her as she ran from the campsite. The forest crashed as she rapidly raced away. Kypress ran towards the river. She could hide her scent and get a drink. Kypress plunged into the cold water. Once she was clean, she lapped at the water and shook her fur out. A spear whipped beside her and Kypress looked up. A human, draped in animal skins and two Sabertooth fang knives on his belt yelled wildly and grabbed his bow and arrows. He shot arrows at Kypress. Kypress dodged them, and roared. She raised her fangs in the air and bit down. She would kill the human. The human needed to be taught to stay away. To stay away from her and from the Tribes. The Sabertooth tribes were no match for a human. Kypress crept up and then sprang. The human was fast though, and drove the arrow into her shoulder. The arrow pierced through her skin. Kypress yowled. Her yowl of pain turned into a growl of rage. A wounded Kypress ran back into the forest with an arrow in her shoulder. She collapsed, her vision faded.
when Kypress woke up, she saw Vice and A male standing over her. "Is she the one?" The male asked. "Yes she is the one who saved me." Vice told the male. The male nodded.
