Kylie walks in the front door to the house that holds the now world know secrets. She sees her mom sitting on the couch in a drunken haze.

The sight disgusted Kylie. She can see the heroine needle hanging limply off her vein. Her mom never used to do drugs but now she is.

Kylie goes to pick take the needle out of her arm and she notices the small bag full of heroine. For some reason Kylie was itching to try it. She had always stayed away from drugs but as she reminisces on her life she doesn't think that trying heroine one time would make a difference.

She fills the syringe with the drug and stuck it into her arm. It hurts at first but when Kylie pushed it all in, it felt great.

After a couple minutes Kylie starts to feel lightheaded. She falls to the ground gently.

"KYLIE!! KYLIE! WAKE UP GOD DAMNIT."
Trent shakes her awake in a frenzy.

"What?" She asked softly and confused.

"We're here. If we don't get off the train now, they will take off with us still on!" Trent tells her trying to pull her and grab the luggage at the same time.

"I just had the weirdest dream." She said still dazed thinking about the dream she just had. She had never thought about doing drugs.

Kylie's nerves grew as the distance shrunk. They turned into her street and saw all the mansions wiz by and she sees her perfect little house sitting right on the corner.

When they pull into the driveway and Kylie almost throws up. She doesn't want her mom to see how affected she is by it.

Kylie had always been a people pleaser. She always tried to make sure nobody was hurting. Subsequently making herself hurt.

Kylie is brought back to reality when she heard Trent knock on the door and the door fly open.

There lies her mother. Smiling and happy to see her.

"Kylie!" Her mother shrieks loudly. She grabs Kylie in a tight hug and kisses her face.

"Hi mom." Kylie says somewhat annoyed that her mother was kissing her so much. You could probably guess that Kylie wasn't used to affection from her parents.

"Come in please!" She says excitedly. Kylie gets kind of angry that her mom was treating her like a guest.

Kylie walked in and everything is the way it was before. The couch was still turned somewhat facing towards the door in a comforting fashion. She sits down and faces her mom.

"Where did you guys go?" She asked after a while. Her eyes start glistening with tears at this point.

"Colorado." She answered bluntly not wanting to beat around the bush.

"Well David was sent to prison." Rachel looks down and I see a tear drip down.

"Yeah I know. I called the police."

"You did what?!" Her mom yells in both confusion and hurt.

"I called the cops. I saw the press interview."

"How could you ever do that?" She asked astonished.

"It was the third bravest thing I've ever done."

"What was the second?"

"This." She says as she stood up grabbed Trent's hand and walked out of the house.

Kylie was done with her mother. She couldn't believe that Rachel could be upset that she put an end to years of violence.

When they got out of the house and into the car, Trent finally spoke.

"What just happened?"

"I don't really know." Kylie didn't know. It was a spur of the moment decision. At this point, Kylie didn't care if it ended badly. She just wanted to get away from this god forsaken town.

"What was the bravest thing you ever did?" Trent asked about 10 minutes into the drive.

"Continuing my life when I wanted to die." She said sadly.

"Oh." Was all he said after contemplating my response.

"What was the bravest thing you've ever done?"

"Something like this." He said and all in a split second, the car pulled over to the side of the road. Before I could proses what was happening, Trent's lips smashed onto mine and moved quickly just like it did in the motel.

As quickly as it began, it ended and his lips left hers but the sensation remained.

~*~

Kylie just stared at Trent with glazed eyes. The kiss conjured up memories of James. Memories of his lips on her and how warm and happy he made her feel.

Now the one memory that sticks out the most is how cold he felt when he died. The warmth he made Kylie feel was wiped away when she touched his hand.

With a yearning for more forgotten memories, Kylie leans in again kissing Trent softly. Some small memories rush back but even though they are small, they are worth every second.

As James' face races through Kylie's mind, tears escape freely until Trent pulls back and asks her what's wrong.

"James." She says bluntly and Trent understands and gives her a small hug and starts driving again.

"Where are we going to go?"
