So Mystic Falls hasn't changed in a hundred years. Well besides it's the twentyfirst century. The same founding families in the same postions as they were then. A Lockwood for mayor, a sherriff Forbes and all the families stuck up. Except this Gilbert girl. She's a ringer for Katherine. She's nicer and everything but she's still spoiled. Rolling my eyes I walked into the grill and sat in a booth in the corner. I order a coke and fries. I sat and watched people walk in and mingle or ate.
Elena walked in with a blonde perky vampire and a witch with a bad additude. I observed them. She was happy. Given everything she's been through I'm impressed. I concetrated on their conversation.
"So Elena how are your cravings going?" Bonnie asked. Oh that's right she's turned.
"It's a struggle everyday to not eat someone. Especially when they tick me off." She smiled and her friends giggled. I couldn't help but feel a twig of jealousy for my dear friend Anne who has long been gone from this world. Scarlett fever is such a pain.
Then they walked in. The famous Salvatore brothers and their sidekick Ric. They walked up to the bar and sat. Elena walked over to them and hugged Damon. He kissed her lightly on the lips and smiled. The sickly smile of someone in love. I couldn't help my gag reflex. I sighed and rolled my eyes. I picked through my fries and sipped on my coke. It wasn't strong enough. I dreaded going to the bar and getting a bourbon. Walking up to the farthest end from them and waited for the pretty blonde bartender to come my way. He saw me and did a doubletake. With a gorgous smile he walked my way.
"What can I get you miss?"
"I'll take a bourbon please?" I batted my eyes and maybe poked my chest out a little bit. I don't always have to compell to get my way. I smirked when he poured my drink. I sat and sipped it. I tuned into Damon's and their conversation but all they was talking about was some stupid football game. Men. Rolling my eyes again I flagged for the bartender for a refill.
"Your not from here are you?" He asked as he poured me another. Little does he know I was born and raised here.
"I moved off before I even started school so you probably never remember me." I heard the boys get quiet. I could tell they were listening.
"But I'm back to visit an old relative." I heard Elena move to look at me. He stuck his hand out and introduced himself.
"I'm Matt Donovan. And if you need a tour guide I'll gladly volunteer my time for you." I suppressed a laugh at his attempt to flirt. I shook his hand anyhow.
"I'm Selena-Rose Thorne. But my friends call me Selena." I smiled at him. Yeah poor Matty boy is going to be used as pawn for my advantage. "Well since you're so kind would you show me around tonight?" I tucked my hair behind my ear and try the coy card and see if he takes it.
"Sure. How about when I get off work at 7?" I told him that was fine. And left my number on a napkin for him. I walked out of the grill and down the street. It wasn't long till I heard three sets of feet following me. I smiled and turned a corner and quickly flashed into a boutique. I watched them stand outside and look around for me. I heard Ric ask them if they think I was one. Which they agreed. A smirk reappeared on my face. Well since I'm in the store might as well shop.
