The park

-chapter 8-

(Louis's POV)

Im was really excited to hang out with Mackenzie today.

We decided we had to do some catching up, I'm not sure if it's a date though.

I guess we'll find out how things go.

I was planing to take her to the park for a picnic.

When I was packing our picnic basket autumn walked in

"what are you doing?" she asked me almost startled

"Im packing a picnic. The hell does it look like I'm doing?" I asked cheekily

She rolled her eyes and then looked into the basket "ohh I get it your going out with Kenzie today aren't you?" she said wiggling her eye brows.

"well I don't actually know if it's a date or not, we're just going to catch up you know? We haven't seen each other since we were like 5." I said scratching the back of my neck

"its totally a date, and your in love with her." she said going to open the fridge and then she grabbed the orange juice and a glass.

"what? No I'm not!" I said looking down.

"yes you ARE!" she said "i can tell by the way you get all flustered when someone talks about her. And when you looked down at the ground blushing when I said you were in love with her." she laughed

I looked down blushing again and she just laughed "good luck, oh and don't worry, she likes you." she said before walking off with her orange juice

Okay so maybe I was a tad bit in love. But I definitely wanted this day to be perfect.

(Mackenzie's POV)

I was trying to figure out what to wear.

I wasn't sure if this was a date, or just two friends hanging out.

I decided on a red flowy tank, and a pair of white short shorts.

When I was dressed I threw a black beenie over my long blonde hair and then a coat of mascara.

Then I walked out of my bed room -not my actual be room but just for now since my dad was out of town on business- an into the hall.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed an apple, Lou was already in there having some tea.

"hey Lou." I said smiling

"hey Kenz." he said returning the smile "you ready?"

"yep" I said taking a bite out of my apple the Louis took it from me and threw it away

"what the heck, Lou I was gonna eat that!" I whined

"we have some!" he said holding up the basket he was carrying.

"oh" I said putting my red Toms on

"hey were matchers!" he yelled like a 5 year Old and held his shoes up

I laughed "ya okay Lou"

We walked outside and got into the car.

He was driving but he looked a bit lost.

"Lou bear do you need help?" I asked

"no, I got this" he answered

"where are we going anyway?" I asked

"surprise" he said smiling at me

"uuuugggghhhh you know I hate surprises!" I groaned

"well tough cookies!" he said

I laughed

We drove around in circles for about ten minutes until he finally asked for help.

Then we drove to the park with the right directions.

We sat down in the grass on the blanket Louis had brought.

After the picnic we decided to just walk and talk.

He grabbed my hand and we walked.

"so how's your dad been?" he asked

"pretty good" I answered

Then I completely changed the subject I stopped and turned to Louis looking into his oceanic orbs "Louis."

"yes love" he said back

"is this like ya know.... A date?" I asked looking down

He lifted my head with his finger so that I was looking into his eyes again.

"do you think it is?" he asked

"we'll I don't really know. That's why I'm asking you." I said back

He smiled an grabbed my waist pulling my closer to him "yes, this is a date"

I grinned.

He leaned in a bit and so did I.

We were about a half inch apart, I could feel his breath lingering on my face which sent chills down my spine.

"Mackenzie?!" I heard a familiar voice ask

We broke apart I was flustered.

"hi Ellie, Niall" I said smiling "what are you doing here?" I asked

"well Niall here brought me to Applebee's for lunch, and then we decided to take a walk in the park" Ellie told me

"oh how fun" I said with a hint of sarcasm in my voice.

"what are you guys doing here?" Niall asked

"on a date." Louis told him. "we had a picnic." he said

Ellie was looking at me wiggling her eyebrows.

I looked down blushing

"well mate we should be getting to practice." Niall said looking at his phone.

"alright let's go then." he said.

Ellie say by me in the car giving me suggestive looks

I just rolled my eyes smiling.
