The Goddess and The Devils Son

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Because you are the Grim Reaper."
I stare at Blue for a moment before looking down at myself. Nope. No long black robe and definitely no scythe.
"No I'm not. The Grim Reaper is dead and is made of bones and fire, and has this long stick with a wicked knife thing on top."
"How is it that for someone who doesn't remember anything, you remember what a Grim Reaper looks like?" I just look over at William and shrug.
Blue waves her hand dismissively. "Details shmetails. Ok, sooo technically you're not the Grim Reaper. If I'm guessing correctly, that would be your mother; actually she is technically more than the Grim Reaper, but I'll come back to that later. You are the Grim Reaper's daughter."
What. The. Actual. Fu.... "So my mother is dead?" If any of this is true.
"No. Yes. I mean, she was never dead. She can't die. How about I start from the beginning and then I'll get to the 'you' part."
I just nod and wave for her to continue, but William puts his hand up.
"I'm out. I really don't feel like listening to a one sided conversation."
"Sorry. But seriously, you can't see her?"
"No." William looks at the chair I was indicating, shook his head and walked away.
"Ok. So remember this story has been passed through the ghost world for over two decades, and some of the facts may be wrong or missing." Blue takes a deep breath, and I have to wonder, if she is dead, does she really have to breathe?
"So the story goes, your mother, Charley Davison, who was and is, a God, as well as royalty, was one of the most powerful Gods to ever exist. Her race, the people she came from, always choose the next Grim Reaper who would be born to help the departed cross. The only problem with being born a Grim Reaper is that in all of eternity, not one of them ever made it past the age of ten. However when they died it never stopped there, because then they would come into their full powers and would do nothing but their job until the next Grim Reaper was born.
"But your Mother being a God, and the last of her kind, saw what was about to happen to the Earth, all because of Lucifer wanting Earth's plane for himself. So Charley decided to be born a human on Earth. She saw what she had to do, and the person who would help save the world from the chaos that Lucifer's power would rain down on us all.
"She met a man, someone who was different. He was surrounded in darkness and she could always feel the heat radiate off him. At first she was scared of him, because she remembered seeing him from the moment she was born. He was always there, always protecting her. It wasn't until later on that she found out that he was actually Lucifer's Son.
"You need to understand, when your mother was born, all memories of the life she lived were gone. She was completely and utterly human. Well, a god in a human body. The life of a Reaper is not an easy one. Imagine a world where from the moment you are born, you see the departed. Where you can't understand that no one else can see the departed and you try to explain what someone's dead father, mother, brother, sister are trying to tell them.
"Now imagine all the centuries past, where people were burnt at the stake for things the human mind couldn't comprehend. The fact that your mother had managed to live long enough to have a child, let alone two, was a miracle in itself.
"The first daughter, was given to your father's human parents to be raised. Lucifer and his soldiers would stop at nothing to get to her. Your mother, who finally learnt her true name, remembered everything that was forgotten. She shone even brighter than she did before, and became a beacon to her daughter. Your father was Reyes Alexander Farrow, also known as Rey'aziel, the Beautiful One, or God's Gift. He was the one and only son of Lucifer and created in the hottest fires of hell. He chose to give your sister to his human parents to be raised.
"There was a prophecy saying that she, a being of light and dark, with powers of both heaven and hell, but completely human, would be Lucifer's undoing. With the light from her mother, and the map marked onto her body from her father, she was able to traverse between the two dimensions.
"A couple of days after your sister was born, your mother put Lucifer back in hell, but he escaped again a few years ago, and the world is now in the turmoil that everyone feared would happen.
"You, I believe, are the missing child. Charley and Reyes wanted to keep you. They weren't going to give up another child. But out of spite and because to everyone you appeared completely human, with no signs of either the light or dark in you, Lucifer decided to take you from them and place you in another home.
"Your mother had already lost one daughter and couldn't cope with the loss of her second. Without hope she decided to give up this life and become the God that she was once before. Reyes, utterly heart broken from the loss of his children and wife, followed her back home to where she came from.
"The stories say that they are finally happy and watch over their children from afar."
She finished her story and takes a breath, and I realise I'm crying.
"Oh my god, that is so sad. You tell a really good story. So what happened to the sister?" I ask, wiping the tears away.
"Oh, that's the sad part. She passed away the night the world went to hell, literally. No one saw it coming, and they say it was Elwyn that caused the black out, and has now joined her mother and father back in their realm."
"So she is responsible for all those deaths?" I ask in shock.
"In a way yes, but it was not done on purpose. She had just watched the love of her life Osh'ekiel die, and in a fit of rage she took down the person who killed Osh, losing her life at the same time. They say the moment she closed her eyes, and the last breath left her body, was the moment the world turned to black."
"So if this is all true, and I'm truly their daughter and sister, I'm really the only one left?"
Blue pats my hand sadly, "yes my dear. I'm afraid you are."
I let it all sink in. My mother is a God, and my father is the son of Satan.
"So what does all this mean? Why am I now able to see the dead? Did you all see my light before?"
Blue leans back in her chair and scrunches her face in confusion. "No. That's the weird part. No one, not even the ghosts knew about you, or where to find you. Truthfully even if they found you, they wouldn't have put two and two together, because you look nothing like your family. They are all dark hair, tan, and have dark eyes. You look more like an Angel."
"Sooo... then how did you guess that I was their daughter?" I asked perplexed.
"Because only the daughter of Charley and Reyes would shine as bright as you do and have the map to hell on their body." Blue says looking me over.
I look down at my self and for the first time see a white almost invisible pattern spreading itself over my body.
I look up in shock. "That wasn't there before."
"No, it wasn't. I think the more you grow into your powers the more it will reveal itself. This is just the beginning, and if I am correct, I believe the prophecy was about you, not Elwyn."
"So if my mother was a god, or is it goddess? Anyway, if my mother was a goddess, and my father was the son of Satan, does that make me a goddess or something like that?"
"No, sorry. Unfortunately you where born from two beings who were in human form. If they had conceived you in their true form, then yes, you would have been one."
A thought finally came to mind, if she knew all this, then maybe she knew my real name. "Do you know my real name then. What my mother and father really called me?"
She looks at me and smiles. "Yes. Funny you should ask. Your name that has been known through out the world is, Aurora Ahleethia Farrow."
