'i'm a hurricane, ' - halsey
dedicated to all of you.
-
i get off the plane, again, with a beating heart.
i run back to home with a suitcase in my arms and my heart in my hands.
'oh baby darling, ive never missed you so much,'
'welcome back home, kate'
'i missed you so much! come here, let me give you a big hug,'
'i have so much to tell you, kate!'
'i can't believe youre home after so long, kate!'
'how was college, kate?'
were the closest thing i've had to conversation.
i nod along, bobbing my head like a puppet.
my eyes glaze over.
i stare into space.
until i finally have one day free,
i run to your house.
i knock on the front door and your parents open it.
their eyes light up with happiness when they see me,
and they give me a big hug.
i manage a weak smile,
and rush up to your room.
and little did i know that i would find out that
you were on the bed,
a girl in your hands
and my heart in another,
and you were kissing her lips like you used to kiss mine.
you look up
guilt, shame and pride in your eyes
and with tears, shock ,frustration and shaking hands,
i dial the number of the boy who has truly loved me since day one,
and who i can talk to.
nick.
the boy with green ink and big dreams.
-
the end.
-
holy shit did i just finish a book?
yes, i did.
and i'm proud of myself.
ill maybe write an epilogue
and start the sequel because i already have some ideas.
i love you.
thank you all for not giving up on me.
