he had been traveling for months now and was settling into another hotel. the calm state of tranquility had taken over him when he left his home. now, on the other side of the the country, he wished to be never turn back. to never stop moving either. surely, he would run out of money at one point and so he would go ahead and find ways to earn it. he'd stay in certain places for a month at the most to gain money and then take off. he never got attached because when that happened he couldn't leave. no, he was always left. he was always left. so for once in his life he decided to be the one who left. no one bothered sending him off. a goodbye to his mother and sister was all it took for him to jump in his car and drive away. he'd made it to Vegas within a few hours.

that was the first day.

and now, here he is, standing on a rocky beach on the coast of Maine. this star was too calm to pass up. he was glad to be away from the stress of home.

anything was better than home.

he stood and watched as the clouds rolled overhead and the water lapped at the rocks instead of sand. his flannel was wrinkled and the grey undershirt was dirty. his black pants weren't bad. his shoes had been soaked but he didn't care. he was already sick as it was.

he'd thought he was alone here on this coast. it would have been silent if it weren't for the waves. then the silence was broken and he heard a sound. it was a frantic sound. something was running. although he could not tell what. figuring it was a deer that was leaping through the trees before reaching the clearing near the shore, he turned away to the water. the sound stopped and he figured all was okay.

his heart rate accelerated as he felt something touch his shoulder. he jerked to see a worried face. a beautiful face.

"i'm sorry, " she hesitated "are you okay?"
