cameron felt himself falling for her. so he stuck to his boxing and tried to lose himself in anything he could. he found any way to seem distant even though he wanted to love her. he found himself lost in thought half the time, trying to figure out what to do.

he felt horrid for knowing he would leave her. and horrid for knowing that she wouldn't come with him.

grace had recently been visiting the flower shop everyday. not to get a flower, that still had it's designated day. but cameron worked there. so grace came to meet him with lunch everyday. the lunch had grown to small talk with the owner.

grace had been offered the shop- after the owner would pass away- by the owner herself many times. she turned the owner down every time.

cameron of course was too polite to say he would take the shop, although he wouldn't mind.

grace and cameron were sitting in a small diner at the moment. both with coffee at their hands. grace, to keep her cold hands warm although they were wrapped in sweater sleeves. cameron, because he felt tired. he'd been out punching all night. punching away the confusion and the hatred that he would leave her so soon.

they currently sat in the back of the shop, neither eating, silently. until finally grace spoke.

"you're leaving me soon," she said. cameron nodded. "how soon?"

and to that he didn't answer honestly. he was too afraid to do so. he didn't want to hurt her. so his answer was simple; "soon"

the next day they were sitting at the spot they met at. cameron had his head in grace's lap as she hummed a tune. the air was foggy the result of a drizzle. cameron felt wickedly horrible this afternoon. he had his date to leave set up. he knew where he was going now. and he hated that.

"cameron" the humming stopped. as did cameron's heart.

"yes?"

"i think i love you" she hoped it would keep him there for her. make him not leave. but she was wrong.

"i love you too" and he kissed her. as strongly and passionately as he could. because he knew that was the last time those lips were his to touch.

not too much later he walked her home. she begged him to stay the night, hoping it would make him last forever. he declined with a lie.

"i have boxing in the morning beautiful. i'm sorry."

as she closed the door, she heard a faint call from outside that broke her heart even if she couldn't tell if it was real.

"I Will Always Love You My beautiful Grace!"

when in all honesty cameron had called that out with a cry of apologizing attached to the end.
