"you got into a fight" she stared at his knuckles. he shook his head slightly. her eyebrows furrowed.

"i'm not like that" cameron told her. he enjoyed peace. he had promised his mother as a child he wouldn't get into a fight. ever. he'd stayed true to that.

"what happened?" she asked. his eyes closed, thinking what to say. he could feel he was growing attatched to her. he knew telling the truth would be the best. it wouldn't matter soon.

"i was punching a boxing bag." he told her. confused, she turned her head to the boy sitting on a fallen tree, that she was leaning against.

"cameron" she whispered this.

"yes, grace?" he answered with his eyes closed.

"why?" she could see something in him slowly pulling apart, or even, being put together.

"I was confused, lost in thoughts. i needed a distraction. " he replied.

she opened her mouth to ask what had caused him confusion but scolded herself for talking too much and remained quiet.

"it was you. i can't chose if i want to stay and love you or ignore these damn feelings and run again, until I find the right place to stay. " he ranted.

"follow your heart." grace stared into his beautiful brown eyes.

"tell me your story. tell me the story behind those beautiful eyes you have, grace" cameron leaned closer to her.

her breathing hitched. "only if you stay"

and with that their lips connected.

a week later cameron and grace were strolling the town, his arm wrapped around her waist. grace sensed his hesitation.

he knew this was going to satisfy his want for the love of this girl for the moment but when he was gone he would be left in a tidal wave of things he didn't want.

he knew it was a forbidden love, and with knowing her story he felt like a horrible person.

but she knew he was going. in fact he was already too far gone. she knew it too. and she could tell it would take her forever to get over this boy who was ruining her. destroying her slowly. she could sense the pain. it was coming. speeding like a fray train.

but the fray train wasn't here yet. and the two planned on enjoying the moment while it was still here.

cameron himself was too afraid of how madly in love with this girl and her story he was. he couldn't bare the fact that he needed to go. he wanted to take here with him. but he wouldn't. she had grown up here. they just met she wouldn't leave. she knew it.
