I picked the piece of fruit off the ground and turned around to my friend.
“Do you want some Raj?” I asked tuning around to face the tiger. He looked at me with a really look in his eyes and I frowned back. “You should try becoming a vegetarian; it’s good for our metabolism.” He just shook his majestic head making me roll my eyes. “I’m not the one who had bowel issues last summer…” I trailed off and Rajs head snapped up and he glared at me, I ignored it and started eating my piece of fruit as we walked through the jungle like terrain. We walked past huge trees until we came to the biggest one on the island. I climbed up the tree to where I sleep and Raj followed, but stayed on the lower branches.
“I can’t believe you’re scared of heights!” I exclaimed from above my friend who ignored me, like he always did when I mentioned his fear. I stopped climbing when I reached my little nest which was made out of soft leaves and mud. It sat in between the tree and its branch. The view from my makeshift bed was of the entire island and ocean that was now shaded pink, from the setting sun.
As the first star came to view I made a wish on it.
“I want to know who I am and where I came from.”
