Chapter 5

Jai P.o.v

“Mum!” I yelled as she came to view in the sea of people in the airport.

“Jai! My baby.” She said pulling me onto a massive tight hug. I pulled her close and honestly never wanted to let her go.

Cybele P.o.v

“What’s that?” I asked. Luke and I were talking about things that he liked to do back in civilisation. We were still sitting in the same positions as last night.

“It’s a box that plays movies and shows.” He said and I frowned.

“What is a movie?” I asked and he laughed.

“When we go back I’ll take you to one.” He said with a smile.

“You are going to take me back?” I asked confused.

“Why wouldn’t I?” he asked and I looked over at the fire that was burning in the middle of the cave. “Don’t you want to go?” he took my hesitation as an answer. I shook my head.

“It’s just that this is all I’ve really known! It would be really hard to fit in somewhere I don’t understand! I won’t have anywhere to live and I won’t know anyone but you.” I said still looking at the fire. His hand grabbed mine.

“You saved my life, the least I can do is let you stay with me and don’t worry about knowing anyone! The boys will be more than happy to introduce you to some friends.” I looked at him and he gave me a small smile which a copied instantly. “When can I stand up?” he asked changing the subject but still holding my hand.

“I’d give you one more day before I give you a splint. Are you still hungry?” I asked getting up.

“Just a little.” He replied

Luke P.o.v

I felt bad for this girl. She didn’t know anything about civilised life; she didn’t know what a movie was! As soon as I got home I was going to take her to see a movie. I wonder if Beau would-BEAU!!

“HOLYSHILT!!” I screamed and the island girl came running back into the cave.

“Are you ok?” she asked and I nodded.

“But I wasn’t the only one who was shipwrecked! My older brother Beau was to! He is probably on this Island!! We have to find him!” I was having an all-out panic attack and she sat down next to me and placed her hand over mine, like I’d done previously.

“We can go on a hunt tomorrow. Ok? You’ll have a splint but we’ll figure something out.” She soothed. I started to take deep breaths calming myself down.

“That sounds perfect.” I replied.

“I’ll send Raj to see if he can find any scent ok?” she asked and I nodded.

“But please don’t let Raj be seen by Beau? He’ll probably have a heart attack!” Luke said and I laughed.

Skip P.o.v

“Can you tell us what happened with the other members of your group?” Tom the interviewer asked.

“We were having a tree day break on a yacht, when on our last night a massive storm hit. I don’t know why but Luke and Beau were out on the deck when the biggest wave I’ve ever seen swept them away.” I said feeling Jai tense beside me.

“How long have they been missing?” he asked.

“Two days.” Jai said. That was the first thing he’d said threw the whole interview.

“How long are you going to stay here in the US?” the interviewer asked.

“Well, the search is going to go for a week and if there is nothing we will go back to Australia.” James replied.
