"Fifteen dollars?" Nine gasped.
I nod. "Um yeah. Tre- Billy here stole a nickel yesterday."
Tree Boy glared at me.
Tinsel held Norman by the waist and jumped up. "Let's get more food!"
Nine led us to the edge of the roof where there was a ladder. "Wait." She said. "What do we do with Norman?"
"Let's leave Tinsel here with Norman." Tree Boy said.
"What?! But I haven't been grocery shopping in ages!" Tinsel whined.
"I promise to bring you back something special ok?" I promised.
Tinsel dragged her feet to the tent with Norman and set him down on a pillow.
The three of us climbed down and went to a super Walmart that was about a block away.
The grocery store on Peacone Lane was too far.
Nine kept talking excitedly to me but Tree Boy sulked the whole way.
When we got to the store we immediately made a dash for the produce section. We grabbed strawberries, apples, and peas. Next we went to the hygiene section and got toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and a brush. We went over to the toys and picked out a Barbie for Tinsel and a HotWheels car for Norman.
"Guys we only have fifteen bucks. We don't have enough for all this." I said.
"We know." Nine smiled and Tree Boy pocketed the car. Nine put the hair supplies in my bag.
We went to the check out center and bought the things we didn't pocket.
Tinsel was happy when she received her doll.
