It was starting to become evening again and I was still wide awake.

After we finished the bird we were waiting for Tree Boy to come back. We talked and laughed, mostly laughed.

I didn't have a lot of stories to tell (especially how I got here) because I don't remember much. Only random bits and pieces.

I think my past had something to do with abuse and darkness.

Tree Boy finally got back with a sleeping toddler, who looked almost like Tinsel.

"Wow." Nine said. "He really does look like his sister."

"Took you long enough." Tinsel took the boy out of his arms.

"What's his name?" Tree Boy asked her and glanced at me with a bit of annoyance.

"Hmm." Tinsel said thoughtfully. "I think his name will be...Norman."

"Why Norman?" I ask.

"Because his life was only normal for a year so it's ironic." Tinsel explained.

I shrugged. "So how old are you guys anyways?"

"It's been hard tracking the years but I think I'm about fifteen." Says Nine.

"Eight." Tinsel says matter of factly as she continues holding Norman.

"Thirteen." Tree Boy won't look at me.

"What about you?" Tinsel asks.

"I'm twelve." I say. It feels like I have said it for the first time.

"Does anyone have money? I'm starving even after that bird." Nine runs her belly.

"I've got about fifteen buck." I say.

So we go shopping for groceries.
