We walked out of the store mindlessly and the alarms went off.

"Crap." Tree Boy muttered as casually as if he'd missed a dance recital.

Nine and Tree Boy bolted forward and separated. I felt hot with fear and ran a different way too.

I was running for about thirty minutes and slowed down, exhaustion catching up to me.

I sit on a bench and bend forward. I breath heavily and eventually my breathing returns to normal.

I glance up and then take a double take.

I'm sitting in front of the Peacone Lane Grocery Store.

I walk up and look in purse, finding two dollars.

I push open the door and walk inside. The same cashier is there but I doubt he remembers me.

I walk towards the back of the store which is less busy and nobody can see me. I pocket a piece of gum and buy a water bottle.

I sit back down in front of the grocery store and wonder again about where I lived before.
